Permission granted for new Turks Cay Resort and Marina Development

The government of Turks and Caicos has granted permission for the development of a new luxury resort and marina. The US$100 million Turks Cay Resort and Marina will be a new build development led by Arik Kislin of Circle Holdings Limited.

The new six-storey resort and marina will be built on the former site of the Third Turtle Inn in Turtle Cove on the island of Providenciales in Turks and Caicos. The resort will sit on 16.5 acres of land including 780 linear feet on a cove, and will feature a small island called "Diddle Cay" in the middle of the marina.

The property will have a total of 143 rooms, including studios, and one and two-bedroom apartments. There will also be 11 luxury penthouses that are set over two levels and will have their own rooftops swimming pools.

“The Turks and Caicos Islands has done a fantastic job of marketing itself – in really getting the word out to the rest of the world that they are open for business for new developments and opportunities.”

Stated Arik Kislin from Circle Holdings Limited. Mr Kislin continued:

“With Turks Cay Resort and Marina, we will offer a very high end product with the amenities that the upper tier market around the world is really looking for in a vacation getaway. This is how the Islands have been presenting themselves, and that is what I am going to deliver for the country.”

The resort development will have condominiums, as well as luxury facilities including a casino, a spa, sporting facilities, gourmet restaurants, stylish bars, shops, a boardwalk, swimming pool and sun deck, and a marina. There will be 775 feet of beach frontage for guests to enjoy, as well as 2,300 linear feet of dockage for visitors in yachts and boats.

The island of Providenciales is 38 miles long, and boasts breath-taking natural landscapes typical of the Caribbean, including the stunning Grace Bay Beach. Holidaymakers can visit the naturally-formed limestone opening named The Hole, and Chalk Sound; go snorkelling or scuba diving along the vibrant coral reef which is thriving with marine species; or take a dip in the large lake which has turquoise water and a collection of small cays.

Providenciales is more built up than many other islands in Turks and Caicos, and it boasts an array of luxury beachfront hotels and resorts for families, couples and adults. Visitors can enjoy sweeping powder-soft white sand beaches, chic boutiques, and gourmet restaurants with local and international cuisine.
