Blue Waters, Resort and Spa in Antigua appoints new General Manager

The Blue Waters, Resort & Spa in Antigua has appointed a new General Manager. Kevin Phillips, originally from Barbados, joins the luxury resort following a managerial role at the Carlisle Bay Resort in Antigua. Phillips brings years of expertise and experience with him to the new role, after working at luxury resorts in the British Virgin Islands and Barbados.

The Blue Waters, Resort & Spa in Antigua has announced the appointment of a new General Manager. Kevin Phillips has taken over the role at the luxury Caribbean resort.

Phillips, who is originally from Barbados, joins the hotel in Antigua, after working as the Resort Manager at the Carlisle Bay Resort on the island. He brings year of  experience to the position, after working at luxury hotel across the Caribbean, including Peter Island in the British Virgin Islands and Sandy Lane in Barbados.

“Over the duration of my career, I have been fortunate enough to work with some of the world’s finest brands and leading hotels.”

Explained Phillips.

“I have always had a passion for Antigua and so when I was presented with the opportunity to join the team at Blue Waters, I recognised this was going to be an opportunity of a lifetime."

He added:

“I am very excited about this new challenge and welcome the opportunity to extend my experience with Blue Waters, a truly world-class resort.”

The Blue Waters, Resort & Spa sits on the north-western coast of the island of Antigua in the Caribbean, surrounded by 17 acres of lush tropical gardens. The luxury resort has a range of upscale guest rooms, suites and villas, that range from Beachfront Rooms and Hillside Junior Suites, to the Turtle Cottage and Penthouse Suite. Spacious rooms feature private balconies or terraces, and modern amenities including flat-screen TVs, walk-in showers, tea and coffee makers, mini-fridges, air conditioning and wireless internet.

Facilities at the beachfront resort include the Spa at Blue Waters with pampering treatments and a beauty salon, family-friendly and adults-only swimming pools, tennis courts, and a modern fitness centre with yoga classes and personal trainers. Dining venues include The Cove Restaurant which sits on a cliff and serves Caribbean and French cuisine; Bartley’s Restaurant with an oceanfront setting; The Palm restaurant with al fresco dining, BBQs and rotating a la carte menus. The Pelican Bar, Carolyn’s and Veronica’s provide a soothing setting for cocktails, coffees, juices and entertainment.

Antigua is the largest island of the twin-island nation of Antigua and Barbuda, which is located between the Caribbean Sea and the Atlantic Ocean. The island is homes warm aquamarine ocean waters, lush emerald forests and landscapes, and dozens of white sand palm-fringed beaches. Many of the island’s hotels and resorts were damaged by Hurricane Irma in 2017, but most are now open to the public once again.
