AMResorts announces new management contracts for hotels in Riviera Maya and Punta Mita in Mexico

AMResorts has announced it will add four new hotels to its portfolio in Mexico. The hotel group signed management agreements for two new hotels in the Riviera Maya, and two properties in Punta Mita in Nayarit. The four hotels bring 2,000 rooms to Mexico, and they join the hotel company's 12,000 existing rooms in 33 luxury all-inclusive hotels throughout Mexico.

AMResorts has revealed that it has signed management agreements for four new hotels in Mexico. The hotel group, a division of the Apple Leisure group, will open manage two hotels in the Riviera Maya and two in Punta Mita.

The new hotels in Mexico include the Secrets Punta Mita Resort & Spa hotel, Dreams Punta Mita Resort & Spa, Secrets Marina Resort & Spa and Now Natura Riviera Cancun. The four properties will bring another 2,000 guest rooms to the regions.

John Hutchinson, the President of the Apple Leisure Group, commented:

“We have 52 resorts managed with almost 20,000 rooms in six countries and more than half of our portfolio is in Mexico.

“In the last 10 years, we have added more than 7,000 rooms in 28 hotels and 11 destinations to our inventory in Mexico, so it is clear the importance that Mexico has for our firm. Our goal is to continue growing in this beautiful country.”

The Now Natura Riviera Cancun will be the brand’s first hotel in Cancun and will have 534 rooms. The hotel is scheduled to open to guests at the end of 2019, and will be 15 kilometres from Cancun International Airport. The new Secrets Marina Resort & Spa will sit in the Marina El Cid development, 35 minutes north of Playa del Carmen. The hotel will have 407 guest rooms and suites, and is expected to open in 2020.

Secrets Punta de Mita Resort & Spa and Dreams Punta de Mita Resort & Spa are both scheduled to open in late 2020. Secrets Punta de Mita will have 200 rooms, and Dreams Punta de Mita will have 415 rooms, and both will be located Bahía de Banderas in Punta de Mita, in the Riviera Nayarit region. The new-build hotels will boast views of the Marieta Islands and Nuevo Vallarta coastline, and guests will have access to a semi-private beach.

AMResorts operates 33 luxury all-inclusive hotels in 15 destinations across Mexico. The hotels are operated under six award-winning brands: Zoetry Wellness & Spa Resorts, Secrets Resorts & Spas, Breathless Hotels and Resorts, Now Resorts & Spas, Sunscape Resorts & Spas, and Dreams Resorts & Spas. The hotel group was established in 2001, and now owns and manages luxury hotels and resorts in tropical destinations including the Dominican Republic, Cancun, Jamaica, Curacao, St. Thomas, and Costa Rica.
