Increase in Sri Lanka holidays sees rise in profits for Lighthouse Hotel
The luxury Jetwing Lighthouse Galle Hotel has seen an increase in visitors enjoying Sri Lanka holidays in the March quarter of 2010 which has led to a rise in profits by a welcoming 102 percent, 32.3 million rupees.
The Sri Lanka all inclusive hotel saw total revenues rise 34 percent to 110.3 million rupees in the quarter and an impressive profit margin followed. Sri Lanka's peak season is during the European winter and most Sri Lanka hotels make most of their income during the September and March quarters.
The Lighthouse Galle Hotel is part of the leisure group, Jetwing, and has seen full year profits of 22.6 million rupees with share earning of 49 cents each.
