Discover many of the places that have made Cuba what it is today. From the historic capital of Havana to the Museum of the Revolution in Santiago de Cuba, there is plenty of opportunity to understand what the country has been through whilst also sampling its extensive culture.

  • Discover the real Cuba As well as visiting the major cities, sample the Afro-Caribbean vibe of Trinidad, the Che Guevara memorial in Santa Clara and the El Yunique Mountain in Baracoa.
  • Enjoy a city tour of Santiago de Cuba Visit the 16th century citadel of Castillo del Morro in Cuba's unofficial capital.

Day 1 - Havana
Arrive in Cuba at the international airport where we can arrange to have a car waiting for you to drive you to the modern Hotel Habana Libre.

Day 2 - Havana to Santiago de Cuba
Today you will take a domestic flight from Cuba's vibrant capital to the enchanting secret capital of Cuba, Santiago de Cuba. You will go on a guided tour of the city which includes a visit to the impressive Castillo del Morro, a 16th century citadel. Enjoy a relaxing evening at a charming casa particular.

Day 3 - Santiago de Cuba
There are no activities planned for today so you can enjoy a leisurely breakfast before exploring on your own. We recommend that you visit the Casa de la Trova, where you can listen to live Cuban music, and a tour of the Museum of the Revolution where you will learn about one of the most controversial revolutions of the 20th century. You will once again stay at the same charming casa particular.

Day 4 - Santiago de Cuba to Baracoa
Today we will leave scintillating Santiago del Cuba and travel to the oldest city of Cuba - Baracoa. The beautiful city is surrounded by the Sierra del Purial Mountains and is right on the coast, in the 'bay of honey'. The buildings in the historic centre are heavily influenced by 19th century French architecture. Spend the evening at a charming casa particular (private accommodation).

Day 5 - Baracoa
You have the whole day to discover Baracoa for yourself. Hike up El Yunque, the so called 'Table Mountain', explore the old town, and relax on the beach. Tonight you will stay at the same casa particular.

Day 6 - Baracoa to Santiago de Cuba
Return to the energetic city of Santiago de Cuba where you can bask in the lively atmosphere. Do some shopping and try some of the local foods. Tonight you will stay at another quaint casa particular.

Day 7 - Santiago de Cuba to Camaguey
After breakfast we will travel northwest, to the fortified city of Camaguey. If you would like, you can take a city tour in a bicycle-taxi. This is one of the best ways to travel through the pretty, winding streets. Otherwise, you will have a whole day to do as you like. Spend the night at the pretty Hotel Isla de Cuba.

Day 8 - Camaguey to Trinidad
Today you will take go to the city of Trinidad. This spirited city has a distinct culture and an Afro-Caribbean vibe. This is the perfect place to learn to dance the salsa! Tonight you are staying at a casa particular.

Day 9 - Trinidad
Discover the colourful city of Trinidad at your own pace. This a great time to go hiking in the Topes de Collantes National Park or relax on the Ancon beach. There are great places to go snorkelling and diving as well. All activities are optional. Enjoy a pleasant evening at your same accommodation.

Day 10 - Trinidad to Santa Clara
After breakfast you will visit the monumental Che Guevara memorial and adjoining museum in Santa Clara. Tonight you will stay at a casa particular.

Day 11 - Santa Clara to Havana
Time to go back to the fun-loving city of Havana. We recommend taking a guided tour of this exotic colonial city. This is one of the nicest places to discover on foot. Spend the night at a casa particular.

Day 12 - Havana
Enjoy your last full day in captivating Cuba - there's lots to do in Havana. Explore the historic old town, take a ride in one of the iconic classic cars, visit the Havana Club Rum museum, or see the world-famous Tropicana show! This is also a great time to pick up souvenirs for loved ones. You will spend your last night at a lovely casa particular.

Day 13 - Havana
Time to bid farewell to this beautiful Caribbean paradise. We can arrange your ride to the airport or you can do so yourself.
