Intimacy and comfort await you at the Taj Exotica Resort and Spa in the Maldives. Located on a private island, the hotel spreads along a stunning pristine beach and a tranquil lagoon, which is one of the largest in the country. Your first day will be spent travelling to the island; however the wait will be worth it, as you will then spend 8 days enjoying the many amenities of your Lagoon Villa and if you wish, being pampered at the Taj Mandara Spa. You can choose from a standard Lagoon Villa including sundecks, to ones which offer private plunge pools, verandas with day beds and a private spa room. The package includes only breakfast, but you may also enjoy other meals inside the hotel at one of its two international restaurants featuring progressive world cuisine, or even dine in a secluded setting or in the privacy of your own villa.

Maldives, Figures and Facts
Unsurprisingly for those who've ever seen a picture of the idyllic Maldives, the land of everlasting sunshine enjoys hot weather throughout all seasons, with warm temperatures that hardly ever drop below the 30-degree mark. These islands have a year-long tropical summer that only sees changes between the dry and wet seasons. Humidity levels are higher in the wet months but thunderstorms are not that frequent compared to other regions in the Indian Ocean and the sun still shines brightly.

Local laws & customs
Due to local customs and etiquette rules some countries observe a strict dress code. This is especially true for most Muslim countries. Please show respect for local customs and dress accordingly so as not to offend locals or attract unwanted attention.
Some countries also have strict custom laws on what items you can import and export. Always check with the local tourist board before travelling.
Be aware that prior to visiting some countries you may need to get specific immunisation against some diseases. Consult your local GP and check with the FCO website to find out if you will need any vaccinations before travelling. Also, to ensure your health is covered while you’re away it might be worth investing in some health insurance. In some countries this is a strict requirement.
Some countries require specific permits or visas to allow entry. Please ensure your passport is up to date in advance and check the FCO website for more detailed information.
