    1. Day 2

      Arrive in Yogyakarta–After arriving in Yogyakarta airport, you will be greeted and transferred to your hotel in the city with the rest of the day at leisure to discover the city. Overnight in Yogyakarta

    2. Day 3

      Yogyakarta–Begin with a visit to the mystical Sultan’s Palace, also known as the Kraton. The complex is still home to the city’s sultan, however an array of areas are open to the public to explore. Located within the grounds of the Kraton, the Taman Sari, often referred to as the Water Castle, is the next stop of the day. A stunning bathing complex built in the 18th century as a royal pleasure park for the first sultanate of Yogyakarta, you can explore the various bathing pools and the tower from which the sultan used to watch the goings-on below. The final stop of the morning is the historic city district of Kota Gede, renowned for its impressive silver work. Carry on to visit a traditional Kris-Maker. A unique asymmetrical dagger with a distinctive blade, the daggers are produced across Indonesia and are now listed by UBESCO as a ‘Masterpiece of Intangible Heritage of Humanity’. This afternoon, it is time to head out of the city to the incredible temple complex of Borobudur. A fascinating UNESCO World Heritage Site that is one of South East Asia’s most impressive sites and the largest single Buddhist monument in the world! Breakfast included. Overnight in Yogyakarta

    3. Day 4

      Prambanan Temple–This morning you can visit another of the areas stunning archaeological sites with a tour of the 9th century Hindu temple compound of Prambanan before carrying on to explore the local area and lesser-known temples. Built in the 9th century the Paloson Temple is the first stop of the day. This ancient Buddhist complex is seen as one of the best examples of Mahayana Buddhism in Java. Carry on with an Ox-cart ride into the neighbouring Bugisan Village where you can enjoy a warm welcome from the local villages with a welcome drink and light snacks before exploring the village and day to day life. Next on the tour is the chance to explore the local culture by watching how the local Javanese crackers are made as well a traditional herbal medicine that is passed down through generations. The final site of the day is the Ijo Temple, a Hindu temple built between 10th and 11th century, offering stunning vistas from its hillside location. Sit and enjoy the sunset over the area before heading back to Yogyakarta Breakfast included. Overnight in Yogyakarta

    4. Day 5

      Bromo Tengger National Park–Today it is time to leave Yogyakarta behind and head for the railway station. Here you will board a local train and can settle into your scenic journey to Mojokerto. At Mojokerto you will be met by your local guide and drive through yet even more stunning scenes to the Bromo Tengger National Park. Enjoy the rest of the day at leisure ready for an early start the next day. Breakfast included. Overnight in Bromo

    5. Day 6

      Sunrise volcano trek–Start with a private jeep ride to the rim of Mount Penanjakan for the ideal position to sit and watch the sunrise over Bromo National Park. Take in the stunning vistas that present themselves as the sun rises before returning to the jeep and making the steeps descent down to the bottom of the volcano and across the Laotian Pasir to the base of Mount Bromo. Take the climb of approximately 250 steps* to the rim of the crater for even more incredible landscapes. Once you’ve taken in the stunning vistas, you can head back to the hotel before transferring to Probolinggo station. Head through more volcano dotted landscapes on the train to Banyuwangi where you will then be transferred to Ijen. Once you’ve transferred to your hotel you can enjoy the rest of the day at leisure.     6. Day 7

      Ijen Plateau and North Bali–After an early breakfast, it is time to head for Ijen Plateau, a unique phenomenon where the Crater Lake is a vivid blue due to high levels of sulphur making it the most acidic lake in the world! The local sulphur miners will lead you to the crater rim for you to observe the striking blue lake below with sulphurous fumes escaping from the earth. Descend back to your starting point and continue on to your trip to the island of Bali by crossing the Bali Strait via local ferry. Finish the journey by driving along the north coast of the island to Pemuteran to your hotel before enjoying the rest of the day at leisure. Breakfast included. Overnight in Pemuteran

    7. Day 8

      Snorkelling in West Bali National Park–Taking a boat from the resort, you can spend an idyllic morning snorkelling, swimming and relaxing on Manjangan island, and if youre lucky you may even spot some of the local deer. Enjoy a delicious packed lunch on board the boat before returning to the resort where you can spend the rest of the day at leisure. Breakfast and lunch included. Overnight in Pemuteran

    8. Day 9

      Bali tour and Ubud–Begin today with a drive to Brahmavihara-Arama, Bali’s largest Buddhist monastery set in the hills of Banjar and surrounded by lush landscaped gardens. Built in 1970, the monastery is often referred to as a ‘mini Borobudur’ with its architecture. Carry on through the Bedugul district, Bali’s stunning central highlands region, on your way to the iconic Ulu Danu Temple. Set within the tranquil waters of the caldera lake of Lake Bertan, the Hindu Shivaite water temple offers a dramatic scene during the rainy season when it appears the 17th century temple appears as if it’s floating on the lake. Follow on from the temple with a stop at Candi Kuning’s market where you’ll find fresh fruits and exotic spices before the final stop. A UNESCO site, the tranquil rice paddies of Jatiluwih seems to carry on for miles whilst also offering stunning panoramic vistas out across the area. After walking along some of the terraces it is time to head onwards to your hotel in Ubud. Breakfast included. Overnight in Ubud

    9. Day 10

      Kintamani village & Monkey Forest–Start your day with a fascinating performance of Barong Dance before continuing with your explorations with a stop at three villages near Ubud renowned for their arts and crafts. Renowned for its intricate wood carvings and masks, Mas is your first stop before carrying onto the village of Celuk, renowned for its Balinese silver and goldsmiths. The final stop is at Tohpati where they are renwoned for their beautiful batik fabrics crated using traditional techniques. Next en-route to Kintamani village is the fascinating Gunung Kawi, a Hindu temple complex surrounded by lush landscapes with access to the temple via terraced rice fields, iconic to Ubud. Carry onto Kintamni village, a charming village set on the rim of a volcano where you can enjoy a delicious local lunch as you look out across to Mount Batur. On the return journey you can also stop at Goa Gajah, also referred to as the Elephant Cave. Established in the 9th century, it was used a sanctuary for Buddhist monks and offers some incredible carvings and reliefs. The final stop of the day is the sacred Ubud Monkey Forest, a tropical nature reserve and temple complex on the outskirts of Ubud and home to hundreds of cheeky crab-eating macaque monkeys. Wander through the forest and watch these little creatures before heading back to your hotel. Breakfast included. Overnight in Ubud

    10. Day 11

      Traditional Bali tour –Drive through scenic landscapes and charming villages as you head for your first stop of the day, Subak Guliang village. A traditional farming village in the centre of the island you will see the unique architecture used for the houses, based on the local Asta Kosala Kosali tradition similar to the concept of Feng Shui. Upon arriving the village you can enjoy a warm welcome as well as a delicious breakfast in one of the traditional Balinese homes before exploring the rest of the village. Next on your tour is the striking temple complex of Pura Kehan. Built in the 11th century, it is considered to be one of the most beautiful on the island, guarded by a mythical dragon. Carry on to the village of Penglipuran, a traditional village of original inhabitants of the islands. Explore this charming village where the strict rules and regulations of the communities’ ancestors are still upheld in daily life before carrying onto Sanur for the night. Breakfast included. Overnight in Sanur

    11. Day 12

      Labuan Bajo–In the morning it is time to leave the island of Bali behind with a transfer to Denpasar Airport to catch your onward flights to Labuan Bajo. On arrival at Lbuan Bajo airport, you will be greeted and transferred to your hotel where the rest of the day is at leisure. Breakfast included. Overnight in Labuan Bajo

    12. Day 13

      Komodo National Park–After breakfast, you’ll be transferred directly to the harbour for a boat to take you to the Komodo National Park. Enjoy the passing scenery as you sail through the National Park towards Rinca Island where you’ll disembark ready to meet the famous inhabitants of the island. Trek through the lush jungle where you’ll find not only Komodo Dragons but a range of other wildlife including deer, horses, buffaloes, pigs and megapodes. Return to the boat where you can enjoy a delicious lunch on board and take the opportunity to swim or snorkel at Bidadari Island before returning to your hotel in Labuan Bajo. Breakfast and lunch included. Overnight in Labuan Bajo
