July opening for new Warner Bros. World Abu Dhabi

The new Warner Bros. World Abu Dhabi theme park is scheduled to open in July 2018. The 1.65 million-square-foot park will have six immersive lands, including DC's Metropolis and Gotham City. The attraction will have 29 exciting rides, attractions, live entertainment experiences, and many restaurants, cafes and shops that will sell themed merchandise.

UAE-based developer Miral has announced that the Warner Bros. World Abu Dhabi will open to guests this summer. The world’s first indoor Warner Bros.-branded theme park will open on 25th July 2018.

Located on Yas Island, the new theme park will span 1.65 million square feet, and will have six immersive lands.

These will include DC’s Metropolis and Gotham City, Cartoon Junction, Bedrock, Dynamite Gulch and Warner Bros. Plaza.

World Abu Dhabi is yet another milestone in the emirate’s journey to further enrich its tourism offering, and help establish it as one of the world’s leading tourist destinations. The park is another great addition to Yas Island’s immersive experiences and award-winning attractions.”

The attraction will have 29 rides, interactive attractions and live entertainment experiences featuring world-famous Warner Bros. characters from comics and films. Rides will include Batman: Knight Flight, a high-tech flight simulator with immersive scenery; The Riddler Revolution rollercoaster; The Joker’s Funhouse; and Rougues Gallery Games.

There will also be several themed restaurants and cafes, and shops selling themed merchandise. Visitors will have the chance to meet their favourite characters including Batman, Superman and Wonder Woman, plus famous cartoon characters including Bugs Bunny, Wile E. Coyote and Scooby-Doo.

Warner Bros. World Abu Dhabi will join a number of attractions on Yas Island in Abu Dhabi. The manmade island is an entertainment destination, situated 30 minutes from mainland Abu Dhabi. Visitors will have access to several attractions such as the Yas Marina Circuit, Ferrari World Abu Dhabi, Yas Marina, the award-winning Yas Links Abu Dhabi golf course, and the Yas Mall with hundreds of international brands, restaurants and entertainment centre.

The island will also be home to a new SeaWorld theme park which will focus on engaging, educating and inspiring visitors. It will be the first marine attraction in the United Arab Emirates that will focus on conservation, marine research, rescue and rehabilitation.
