A new boutique resort has opened to guests on the north coast of the Dominican Republic. Ani Villas Dominican Republic has 14 suites, and offers a picturesque secluded setting for holidaymakers.

Located on four acres of land on its own peninsular in the Dominican Republic, the resort is surrounded by the sea on three sides.

Twelve of the property’s 14 suites boast huge windows and private terraces that overlook the turquoise sea and the secluded coves and white sand beaches that are dotted along the coast.

Tim Reynolds, the founder of Ani Villas, stated:

“It’s one of those locations that really makes you wonder if you’ve ever seen any place as beautiful. This one’s been a long time coming. We spent three years on environmental impact studies alone. But some things are worth the wait.”

The suites sit in two villas on the estate: East Villa with eight suites, and West Villa with six suites. Designed by local architects Estudio Sarah Garcia, the suites span 1,200 square feet and feature South American hardwoods, and Bali-style furnishings with a splash of Dominican design and colour. Suites have deep soaking tubs, enclosed outdoor gardens,

Each of the villas is centres around a 6,000-square-foot open-walled living and dining pavilion, with a billiard table, TV room, and a staffed, fully-stocked bar. There are also sun decks and infinity pools with shallow soaking areas. The West Villa also boasts a huge oceanfront swimming pool, and a kids’ pool with water slide.

During their stay at Ani Villas, guests can take part in a wide range of complimentary activities. These include cooking classes, tennis lessons, cycling, snorkelling, personal training sessions, and a kids’ activity programme with treasure hunts, cooking classes and crafts.

Facilities at the luxury beachfront resort include tennis courts with a resident professional tennis coach, a fitness centre, and a spa with two treatment rooms, steam showers, and three dedicated spa therapists. Guests will not have to venture to a restaurant to enjoy fine cuisine; they can dine in the large dining area of their pavilion where they will be treated to a personalised menu, or they can choose a secluded spot on the beach for lunch or dinner.

Ani Villas is located on the north coast of the Dominican Republic, close to the Robert Trent Jones clifftop golf course which resembles Pebble Beach. Holidaymakers can play golf, visit the charming fishing town of Rio San Juan, go surfing, go deep sea fishing or relax on the white sand beaches.
