Renaissance Pattaya Resort and Spa debuts in Thailand

A new mid-range resort has opened beside Jomtien beach, close to popular Pattaya on the northern Gulf of Thailand. The Renaissance Pattaya Resort and Spa, owned by the world’s biggest hotel company Marriott, has 257 deluxe rooms, pool villas and family suites, and offers all-day dining.

Renaissance Pattaya Resort and Spa debuts in Thailand

Renaissance Hotels opened its first resort in Thailand’s seaside town of Pattaya on 1st September 2017. Owned by the world’s largest hotel company Marriott International, the new low-rise mid-range resort features 257 rooms including pool villas and family suites overlooking Jomtien beach.

Recreational facilities at the new Renaissance Pattaya Resort and Spa include two outdoor swimming pools, a children’s pool, kids club and a luxury spa.

There are a range of options for on-site dining across the resort. The main restaurant is open all day from breakfast through to dinner, while specialty restaurant Pebble Bar & Grill serves high-quality fare with an expert mixologist behind the bar.

The hotel’s lobby area also has a central lounge, R-Lounge, offering beverages in a relaxing setting.

The resort’s architecture and interiors have a beachy, nautical theme, inspired by its setting on Jomtien beach and Pattaya’s beginnings as a local fishing village. Wood, veneer and metal finishes in earthy tones reflect the sand, with marine shades of cobalt and gentian blue. Natural fabrics such as Thai silk from Jim Thompson, cotton, chenille and jute give interiors a luxury edge.

The latest Renaissance Hotel will reflect the brand's "Business Unusual" approach to meetings and events, offering business travellers events spaces and unusual bespoke experiences curated by REN Meetings. The hotel has business facilities to accommodate up to 600 people and plans to position itself as a destination for meetings and incentive travel as well as a holiday resort.

Renaissance offers tailored business trips as well as holding signature events in its hotel lobbies, bars and lounges to showcase emerging talent in mixology, music, the arts and gastronomy. Each resort has designated "Renaissance Navigators" who are on hand to assist guests with arranging local activities and experiences.

Room rates at the Renaissance Pattaya Resort and Spa start from £103 per night for a Deluxe Room or £260 for a Pool Villa. For more information, visit: renhotels.com

There are currently 170 Renaissance Hotels around the world. Renaissance Hotels is one of 30 leading brands operated by Marriott International. The Marriott family also includes well-known hotel groups Ritz-Carlton, St Regis, Westin and Sheraton. All in all Marriott has almost 6,000 hotels in 120 countries.
