Kimpton Seafire open on Grand Cayman

One of Grand Cayman’s most eagerly anticipated new properties, the Kimpton Seafire Resort and Spa, is open. Located on Seven Mile Beach, the property is Grand Cayman’s first new resort in a decade. It features 266 guest rooms and suites, most of which have views of the sea. There are also three beachside bungalows with loft styling.

Though it will not be managed by Kimpton, the resort will also include 62 condominium residential units, and residents will have access to all Seafire amenities, including personalized concierge services and private social rooftop.

The resort also features a sprawling, 8500 square foot spa which includes seven treatment rooms and a hammam, the only one in the Cayman Islands. Additionally, Seafire’s many amenities include a large event lawn with seating, a boardwalk, a communal fire pit, and interconnected bike paths and walking trails. Guests will have access to two pools, one for families and one which is adults only, and a wide range of water sports. A number of restaurants and retail shops line the promenade.

Seafire features three restaurants: a tapas restaurant, a beach bar serving three meals a day, and a signature culinary venue. Kimpton stresses that Seafire is not an all-inclusive resort; with so many highly regarded restaurants in Grand Cayman, the developers want to encourage guests to get out and explore the area’s dining options.

While Seafire makes a wonderful choice for a holiday, it also provides a serene tropical backdrop for gatherings and business events. The resort includes both an indoor and outdoor meeting space and has a 7,076 square foot ballroom.

Grand Cayman is one of the most popular destinations in the Caribbean. Travelers from around the world are drawn to Grand Cayman for its laid-back, family-friendly atmosphere, as well as its wide range of activities and natural beauty. Divers, in particular, are drawn to the island for its pristine reef and its underwater visibility, which is among the best in the Caribbean. Its beaches, particularly Seven Mile Beach, are justifiably famous among vacationers. The weather in Grand Cayman is warm and pleasant practically all year long, and the turquoise waters of the Caribbean make for excellent diving and snorkelling.
