Eurostars Hotel Company has opened a new hotel in Panama, with the launch of Eurostars Panama City 5*. Taking over the former Hotel & Casino Royal Sonesta, the newly branded hotel has 300 guest rooms and two Presidential Suites, plus facilities including a swimming pool, sun terrace, restaurant, and more than 900-square-metres of meeting and events space.
Grupo Hotusa’s hotel division, Eurostars Hotel Company, has opened a new hotel in Panama. Eurostars Panama City 5* is open to guests, and is the company’s fourteenth hotel in Latin America.
Located in the former 27-floor Hotel & Casino Royal Sonesta, the newly-branded property has 300 guest rooms and suites and is situated in Panama City’s bustling business district. The hotel’s facilities include a restaurant on the 26th floor with views over Old Town, and a swimming pool and sun terrace on the top floor.
Accommodation includes two Presidential suites, and all of the rooms are decorated in earthy tones and have views overlooking the city’s skyline. Guests can enjoy modern amenities including work desks, wireless Internet, safes, air conditioning, minibars, LCD TVs, and separate bathrooms. There are separate living areas in the Presidential Suites.
The hotel’s facilities cater for leisure and business travellers, and there is a modern gym, sauna and a spa to help guests unwind during their stay. The restaurant serves Panamanian and international dishes, and there’s a bar lounge with coffees, wines and cocktails. The 900 square metres of business and events space are perfect for meetings, conferences and gala events.
Eurostars Panamá City 5* is located 22 kilometres from the Tocumen International Airport. During their stay, guests can visit nearby attractions including the Biomuseo, which was designed by architect Frank Gehry and is dedicated to nature; the Ancon Hill, which is a 199-metre high jungle in the centre of the city where visitors can enjoy the panoramic views and local wildlife; and the famous Panama Canal, which is more than 100 years old and has the Miraflores Visitor Centre where holidaymakers can learn about its history.
Grupo Hotusa has 14 properties in Latin America that are operated under two brands: Eurostars Hotels and exe Hotels. There are six hotels in Argentina, two in Colombia, and five in Mexico, and new properties are planned for Mexico and Ecuador.
At the beginning of 2017, the hotel group will open the tallest hotel on the continent with the launch of Eurostars Torre Bacata 5* in Bogotá, Colombia. The hotel will have 323 guest rooms and 19 luxury suites. Facilities will include a full-service spa & wellness area, two gourmet restaurants, two lounge bars, and 3,000 square metres of events space, including 16 meeting rooms.
