British Airways will launch flights on its new 787-9 Dreamliner this November to destinations including Muscat in Oman and Abu Dhabi.

The airline will receive its first 787-9 Dreamliner aircraft at the end of September and its first route will be to Delhi on 25th October, 2015. The fleet of aircraft will then serve Abu Dhabi in the United Arab Emirates, Muscat in Oman on 5th November, 2015, Kuala Lumpur in December, Austin in Texas in February, 2016, and San Jose in California in May, 2016.

The 787-9 Dreamliner will have cabin categories including World Traveller (economy), World Traveller Plus (premium economy), Club World (business class), and the 787 fleet's first new First cabin with eight seats.

The cabins will have bespoke lighting that can be set to reflect the time of day, enabling a peaceful rest at night, and help with waking up in the morning during the flights. Passengers will also be able to enjoy horizon views through larger windows.

The 787 aircraft are the most advanced in the airline's fleet and with different pressurisation, the internal cabin altitude is the equivalent of 6,000 ft., 2,000ft lower than other aircraft. Smooth ride technology will also reduce the effects of turbulence, making the journey more comfortable for passengers.

British Airways will receive 42 787s, making it the main aircraft of the airline's fleet.

British Airways is the UK's national air carrier that has been operating for more than 95 years, providing flights to hundreds of destinations across the world including Africa, Europe, the United States, South America, the Middle East and Asia.

Abu Dhabi is the capital of the United Arab Emirates and holidaymakers can enjoy access to a wide range of attractions, such as Khalifa Park, Sheikh Zayed Mosque, the Marina Mall, and the Abu Dhabi Mall. The waterfront, golden sandy beaches, world-class golf courses, and lush emerald parks provide plenty of opportunities for family activities and relaxation away from the bustling city.

Muscat is the capital of Oman and visitors can walk for miles along the beaches and coastline, or they can explore the city's historic sites and tourist attractions such as the Al Jalali Fort and Al Mirani forts, Qasr Al Alam Royal Palace, Sultan Qaboos Grand Mosque, the Bait az-Zubair Museum and the Qurum National Park.
