A multi-million-dollar renovation programme has been completed at Grand Cayman Marriott Beach Resort in the Caribbean just in time for the high season.
The second phase of the luxury resort in the Cayman Islands has now finished and included the refurbishment of the lobby, restaurants, the ballroom, meeting rooms and the fitness centre.
The new relaxed Ship-to-Shore design concept is influenced by themes of openness, adventure, craftsmanship, and a strong connection with the sea, and features neutral tones, wood furnishings, and nautical touches.
A main feature of the second phase of the $16 million refurbishment was the rebranding of the lobby, restaurant and bar into Anchor & Den. Guests can savour delicious cuisine with ingredients sourced locally, handcrafted cocktails and sophisticated music within a relaxed setting.
The renovated oceanfront restaurant and bar has been renamed as Veranda and Vista Bar and features vintage-inspired décor and stunning views of the sparkling turquoise ocean.
Guests can now also include a wide range of freebies at the luxury beachfront resort such as complimentary Linus bike rentals, complimentary snorkelling gear, free rentals of paddleboards and kayaks, and entry to weekly beach bonfires.
The Cayman Islands is a country made up of three main islands located in the west Caribbean Sea, south of Cuba: Grand Cayman, Little Cayman and Cayman Brac.
The island nation is a British Overseas territory and one of the Caribbean’s most popular scuba diving destinations and due to the tropical climate, idyllic natural surroundings, luxurious beachfront accommodation, and thriving marine parks.
Tourists can relax on pristine white sand beaches including the famous Seven Mile Beach, and enjoy excellent conditions for scuba diving and snorkelling activities in warm, turquoise ocean waters.
This year, the three islands received a total of 156 TripAdvisor certificates and awards which included 65 attractions, 59 cafes and restaurants, 33 hotels and guest houses, and 20 scuba diving shops.
