InterContinental Hotels Group launches fourth Nicaragua hotel
InterContinental Hotels Group continues to expand its Central America portfolio announcing the launch of its fourth hotel in Nicaragua. The 114-room Holiday Inn Express will be the first for the group in Nicaragua's capital city Managua.
InterContinental Hotels Group (IHG) has announced the launch of its very first Holiday Inn Express hotel in Managua, Nicaragua. This hotel is now the fourth property in IHG’s Nicaragua portfolio and is another step towards realising IHG’s Central American growth strategy goal.
At the time of the announcement Alvaro Diago, IHG’s chief operating officer for Latin America and the Caribbean proudly stated:
"Introducing the Holiday Inn Express brand in major cities like Managua aligns with IHG’s strategy to expand our portfolio in key markets across the region… We see great potential for our brands in Nicaragua with IHG already having a portfolio of internationally recognised brands here."
The 114 room hotel is ideally located near the city center and is a stone’s throw away from the popular Galerias Santo Domingo shopping centre, making the Holiday Inn Express Hotel Managua the ideal base for a city break in Nicaragua.
Despite being priced and marketed towards the budget traveller, onsite facilities include an outdoor swimming pool, a 24-hour fitness centre, a business centre, a modern lounge area and complimentary parking ideal; for those who plan to rent their own car to sightsee in Nicaragua. After an activity filled day, guests can look forward to enjoying a peaceful night’s rest on the 200 thread count crisp sheets and in the morning they can fuel up on the hotel’s complimentary Express Start Breakfast. The breakfast menu certainly has something for everyone with a mixture of local dishes and the classic continental breakfast selections.
The customer centric ethos of this Holiday Inn Express Hotel is very much in-keeping with the new brand strategy of the Holiday Inn Portfolio of Brands. Following IHG’s $1 billion investment in the Holiday Inn’s brand re-launch, the focus has been placed on meeting customer needs and enhancing the customer experience through arrival and welcome services as well as improved comfort in each guestroom.
