New Hilton Abu Dhabi Saadiyat Island Resort to open in 2015

Hilton Worldwide is expanding its collection of hotels in the Middle East after signing a management agreement with Bin Otaiba Investment Group to introduce a new resort in Abu Dhabi.

The hotel group will be launching a hotel on Saadiyat Island in Abu Dhabi that will have 366 guest rooms and a prime location at Saadiyat Beach.

The luxury beachfront resort is scheduled to open at the end of 2015 and will feature upscale facilities including nine gourmet restaurants and stylish bars, a health club, an outdoor swimming pool, spacious event and meeting facilities, and an eforea: Spa at Hilton, Hilton Worldwide's elite spa brand that blends distinctive holistic treatments with produce sourced from natural resources.

"Hilton Hotels and Resorts continues to build on its strong foundation in the UAE and Abu Dhabi Saadiyat Island Resort is destined to be a worthy addition to our diverse portfolio of hotels across the country."

Stated Rob Palleschi, the Global Head of Hilton Hotels and Resorts.

Situated on 27 square-kilometres of land, 500m off the coast of Abu Dhabi in the United Arab Emirates, Saadiyat Island is a world class leisure, residential, business and tourism hub.

Home to seven districts, the island will be completed in phases up until 2020. Once the project is finished, more than 160,000 people are expected to live on the island all year round and thousands more will visit annually.

The natural island offers luxury hotels and resorts, iconic landmarks, more than three million square metres of office space, marinas with berths for up to 1,000 boats, two championship golf courses, civic and leisure facilities, sea-view apartments and upscale villas that will be privately owned or rented out to holidaymakers.

Attractions on the island include the Louvre Abu Dhabi, Guggenheim Abu Dhabi, a performing arts centre, and the National Museum - all of which have been designed by award winning Pritzker Architecture Prize winners – and there will also be a protected mangrove and wetland reserve sanctuary, which is home to endangered hawksbill turtles.
