Sandals LaSource Grenada Resort and Spa celebrates official grand opening

The Sandals LaSource Grenada Resort and Spa celebrated its grand opening this week, four months after it officially opened to holidaymakers. The luxurious Grenada resort is the hotel group's first property on the island and the occasion was market with celebrations with the island's Prime Minister, Governor General, Tourism Minister and the founder of Sandals International, Gordon "Butch" Stewart.

Four months after it opened its doors to holidaymakers, the Sandals LaSource Grenada Resort and Spa celebrated its official grand opening this week.

The festivities took place at the Grenada resort on Monday and were attended by the island's Prime Minister Dr Keith Mitchell, Grenada Governor General Cecile La Grenade, the Grenada Tourism Minister Alexandra Otway-Noel, the founder and Chairman of Sandals Resorts International, Gordon "Butch" Stewart, and Sandals CEO Adam Stewart.

During the celebrations, the Stewarts were presented with a pair of Six Star Black Diamond Awards by the CEO of the American Academy of Hospitality Sciences, Joseph Cinque, for the hotel company's excellence in hospitality and for Island Routes Caribbean Adventure Tours.

Sandals LaSource Grenada Resort and Spa is located on 17 acres of land on the Pink Gin Beach in Grenada and its luxurious accommodation includes 225 luxurious guest rooms and suites that are positioned within three individual villages: Italian, Tahiti and Pink Gin.

The all inclusive beachfront resort opened its doors in December, 2013, and it has received rave reviews by guests who have enjoyed luxury holidays over the past few months.

The upscale Grenada hotel's facilities include the outdoor open-air "Living Room", with a bar, piano, and billiards; the Red Lane Spa with nine treatment rooms and a nail and hair salon; a dedicated wedding lounge; a gift shop; and nine gourmet restaurants serving international culinary delights, including Sandals first top-tier steakhouse called Butch's Chophouse.

Grenada, guests can relax on the famous Grand Anse Beach; climb the island's highest peak, Mount St. Catherine; explore Grand Etang Nature Reserve with its turquoise crater lake; visit the Seven Sister Waterfalls or the highest waterfall in Grenada, Mt. Carmel Waterfall; scuba dive in the Underwater Sculpture Park; or take a tour around Belmont Estate, a former 17th-Century plantation and base for the renowned Grenada Chocolate Company products.

Sandals Resorts operates several all inclusive luxury hotels in the Caribbean with properties in tropical islands including Jamaica, Turks and Caicos, St Lucia, Antigua, and The Bahamas.
