Travellers can now book next year's holidays at the soon-to-be-relaunched Sandals Barbados, ahead of its official reopening next year.

The Barbados resort is scheduled to reopen its doors on 28th January, 2015, following an extensive 11-month renovation programme.

The former Couples Barbados resort was acquired by Sandals International in 2013 and reservations are now being taken for travel from 28th January, 2015 through to December, 2016.

The beachfront Sandals property will have 280 guest rooms, including butler suites and swim-up river suites with indoor and outdoor hot tubs, plus an array of facilities including the first ever Sandals Indian restaurant and 10 other gourmet restaurants.

Guests will be able to enjoy pampering treatments in the Red Lane Spa; cocktails in the Barbados resort’s bars and lounges; entertainment at an amphitheatre that overlooks the white sand beach; or a workout on the tennis courts and the main swimming pool.

The refurbishment programme includes upgrades and renovations to all of the property’s 280 guest rooms and suites; a new exclusive Club Lounge and departure lounge; an expanded Red Lane Spa; a new wedding garden; and new fire pits and a beachfront whirlpool.

When it reopens, Sandals Barbados will also have a new Discovery Dining programme that will include the new restaurants such as Butch’s Chophouse, French-style patisserie Café de Paris, ‘Soy’ Japanese sushi, and the hotel group’s first ever Indian restaurant.

"The plans for Sandals Barbados are thrilling. We can't wait for our guests to book these rooms," stated Butch Stewart, the founder of Sandals International.

The property closed earlier this month but those who already booked their Barbados holidays at the resort can relocate their booking to any other Sandals Resorts, excluding Sandals Emerald Bay, Sandals Royal Plantation and Sandals LaSource Grenada.

The Caribbean island nation of Barbados is situated in the North Atlantic Ocean and is home to a wide range of diverse natural landscapes. Holidaymakers can go scuba diving or snorkelling in crystal clear warm ocean waters where they can explore the colourful coral reefs and hundreds of marine creatures, or relax on pristine white sand, palm-fringed beaches and soak up the sunshine.
