Krystal Hotels and Resorts have announced that it will be taking over the Hyatt Regency Cancun on 1st May, 2014. Krystal Hotels and Resorts has announced that it will be taking over the management of Hyatt Regency Cancun later this month.
The hotel will become the new Krystal Grand Punta Cancun on 1st May and due to the change of brand and management, Hyatt Gold Passport members will not receive programme benefits, points and free-night redemption offers for bookings after 30th April, 2014 but redemption of free nights requested and confirmed before 14th March, 2014 will be honoured.
The all-inclusive beach resort is the second Krystal branded property in Cancun and the hotel group has additional properties in Mexico including Acapulco, Ixtapa, Mexico City, Oaxaca and Puerto Vallarta.
The newly re-branded, Krystal Grand Punta Cancun is located in the heart of the entertainment district of Cancun and boasts a private stretch of white sand beach where guests can relax on beach bali beds.
The hotel has 453 contemporary guest rooms and suites that have views of the Caribbean Sea and cater for many different types of travellers, from families to honeymooners. Every room has marble floors, a mini bar, electronic safety deposit box, flat screen TV with interactive movies, and the Master and Presidential Suites have their own private pools.
Facilities at the hotel include a panoramic infinity-style pool and Jacuzzi, relaxing Bali day beds, the modern Fitness Centre, a kids play area, a tranquil spa, three bars, and three restaurants including the Hacienda El Mortero Restaurant with its traditional Mexican dishes and Mariachi entertainment.
Cancun is one of the most popular tourist destinations in Mexico and the city is full of upscale hotels and resorts, gourmet restaurants, nightclubs, tourist attractions, shops and boutiques, world-class golf courses, and fun activities.
The strip of Caribbean coastline on Mexico’s Yucatan Peninsula was once an uninhabited area full of unexplored beaches and mangroves but in 1970 the region was developed into a tourist resort.
Tourists can go zip lining through lush jungles; scuba dive beneath the surface of the crystal clear turquoise ocean to explore the famous underwater museum and spectacular marine life; trek through verdant rainforests that are thriving with diverse wildlife; or explore the region’s ancient Mayan ruins and temples.
