Magdalena Grand Hotel to take over Tobago Plantations Golf Course

Tobago's Magdalena Grand Hotel has announced that it has taken over the management of the 18-hole Tobago Plantations Golf Course.

The hotel will spend $2 million on refurbishing the golf course and on 1st December, 2013, the property will officially open as the renamed Magdalena Grand Beach and Golf Resort.

"Adding the golf course to the Magdalena Grand portfolio has been part of our strategic plan to provide our guests with an optimal vacation experience in Tobago."

Stated John Murphy, the principal of EFM Hospitality Solutions, and the operator of the Tobago resort.

The golf course in Tobago includes a clubhouse with a pro shop, lounges, changing rooms, bag storage, and the Fairways Bar and Grill restaurant.

Located in the tropical Tobago Plantations Estate on 750 acres of land, the 178-room Magdalena Grand has an array of luxurious suites, villas, condos and bungalows positioned around the Tobago Plantations PGA-designed championship gold course.

The beachfront hotel has four gourmet dining options and three bars, including a swim-up pool bar. During holidays to Tobago, adult guests can relax in the lavish spa or work out in the 24-hour fitness centre while the kids play in the Kids Club.

Hotel's facilities include three swimming pools, a diving centre with training pool, pitching and putting greens, a driving range, and tennis courts.

The twin nation of Trinidad and Tobago is a popular destination for tropical holidays due to the islands' beautiful sandy beaches, warm turquoise ocean waters, mountains, and dense lush green forests and rolling hills.

There are plenty of attractions and sites to see throughout holidays to Trinidad and Tobago such as the natural coral reef of Buccoo Reef, Caroni Bird Sanctuary, the Emperor Valley Zoo and Botanical Gardens or Fort George. Tourists can enjoy festivals including Divali, the Hindu festival of lights or the Tobago heritage festival, or take part in activities such as golf, snorkelling, scuba diving, sailing and horse riding.
