The Grand Paradise Samana in the Dominican Republic has been recognised as an Eco Hotel 2012 in the Caribbean Gold Coast Awards. The hotel is part of the Amhsa Marina Hotel and Resorts chain and was recognised for its environmentally-friendly practices while maintaining a high level of service for tourists taking all inclusive Dominican Republic holidays.

The 11th edition of the Caribbean Gold Coast Awards has awarded the Grand Paradise Samana as an Eco Hotel 2012. The hotel is a popular choice for all inclusive holidays and it was recognised for its environmental practices and actions.

The Caribbean Gold Coast Awards highlight the efforts of companies, employees, developers and professionals who promote the ongoing improvement of service, quality and the reputation of the Dominican Republic's tourism product.

The all inclusive resort is located in Samana Bay, at Las Galeras, 25 minutes from the town of Samana and is part of the Amhsa Marina Hotel and Resorts chain.

Tourists visiting the Dominican Republic can enjoy the resort's all inclusive programme which includes daily breakfast, lunch, dinner, snacks and domestic drinks; tennis, volleyball, water aerobics, and one half hour scuba diving lesson; kids activities program for children aged 4-12; nightly entertainment and free entry into the disco; and non-motorised water sports including snorkelling, sailing, catamaran cruises, kayaks, and windsurfing.

The hotel's facilities include a Catholic church, two swimming pools, one children's pool area, three restaurants, and four bars, including a pool bar.

In the Dom Rep, guests can head off on ecotourism excursions, relax on Rincon Beach, or take a refreshing dip under the stunning Salto El Limon waterfall.

The Dominican Republic is a nation located on the island of Hispaniola in the Caribbean Sea. The country occupies the eastern two thirds of the island and the remaining third belongs to the nation of Haiti.

The country boasts stunning landscapes and natural scenery made up of sugar white sand palm-fringed beaches, azure ocean waters, undulating green hills, winding valleys, cascading waterfalls, and soaring mountainous peaks.

Popular tourist destinations in the Dominican Republic include the capital city, Santa Domingo, Punta Cana, and Puerto Plata.
