Radisson to makes its debut in Grenada by rebranding Grenada Grand Beach Resort

One of the world's leading hotel groups, Radisson, will be making its debut into the hotel market in Grenada after it announced that it will be rebranding the Grenada Grand Beach Resort. The property will be called the Radisson Grenada Beach Resort and will be open to tourists visiting Grenada from 20th December, 2013.

Radisson has announced that it will be entering the hotel market in Grenada this year after recently acquiring the Grenada Grand Beach Resort. The hotel brand will be transforming the 225-room hotel into the 229-room Radisson Grenada Beach Resort and it will open its doors to tourists taking Grenada holidays from 20th December, 2013.

"This will be the first U.S. hotel brand in Grenada," explained Brenda Hood, Grenada's parliamentary secretary for culture, tourism and civil aviation.

The resort is located on the famous Grand Anse Beach will holidaymakers will be able to continue enjoying holidays in Grenada during the renovations and upgrades.

Once open, the Grenada hotel's facilities will include tennis courts, outdoor swimming pool, swim-up bar, a gourmet all day dining restaurant, a beachfront snack and cocktail bar and scuba diving facilities.

Grenada is famously known as the "Island of Spice", due to its position as a leading producer of spices such as Cinnamon, cloves, ginger, mace, allspice, orange/citrus peels, wild coffee, nutmeg and organic cocoa.

Holidaymakers in Grenada can explore the island's fascinating and historic attractions including the Grenada National Museum, Fort George and Fort Frederick, West Indies Cricket Heritage Centre, River Antoine Rum Distillery, the oldest rum distillery in the western hemisphere, and the Dougladston Estate, the oldest spice plantation in Grenada.

The Caribbean island is home to an array of breathtaking landscapes including pristine white sand beaches, verdant green rolling hills, mountainous peaks, winding rivers, and cascading waterfalls.

Travellers can enjoy a wide range of activities in Grenada such as scuba diving down to the Underwater Sculpture Park; hiking through the Grand Etang Nature Reserve that features a stunning crater lake; taking a dip under the Seven Sister Waterfalls; taking a tour of the Belmont Estate, a former 17th century plantation and base for the Grenada Chocolate Company products; or relaxing on the beautiful Grand Anse Beach.
