DoubleTree by Hilton to offer luxury Seychelles holidays as it marks debut in the Indian Ocean
Hilton Worldwide has announced that it will be adding a new resort to its portfolio after the hotel group signed an agreement with Allamanda Hotel Developments to refurbish and rebrand the former Allamanda Beach Resort & Spa. The property will provide luxury Seychelles holidays for tourists and will be the first DoubleTree by Hilton property to open in the Indian Ocean.
Hilton Worldwide will be launching its first DoubleTree by Hilton property in the Indian Ocean region after it announced that it has signed an agreement with Allamanda Hotel Developments Ltd to rebrand and refurbish the former Allamanda Beach Resort & Spa.
Located on the island of Mahe, the new DoubleTree by Hilton Seychelles-Allamanda Resort & Spa is scheduled to open to tourists taking Seychelles holidays in December, 2012.
“Today’s announcement is another milestone in our successful 12-year partnership with Allamanda Hotel Developments and a timely opportunity to welcome our award winning DoubleTree by Hilton brand to the Indian Ocean,” explained Patrick Fitzgibbon, the Senior Vice President of Development for Hilton Worldwide, Europe & Africa.
“The new property will perfectly complement our existing Seychelles hotels in Mahe and Silhouette Islands and add considerable value to our local resort portfolio.”
The Seychelles hotel is situated on the south coast of the island and has 30 upscale rooms that offer breathtaking views of the sparkling Indian Ocean. Set upon 2.5 hectares of tropical landscaped gardens, the hotel features a spa sanctuary that is perched atop a huge granite boulder and offers a wide range of pampering treatments for guests to indulge throughout their holidays in the Seychelles.
The Seychelles hotel’s facilities include a gourmet restaurant, an elegant all-day bar, an infinity pool, a modern fitness centre and fully-equipped business centre.
During holidays to the Seychelles, holidaymakers will have access to the pristine sandy beach that features large granite boulders. An array of watersports is also available including snorkelling, scuba diving and kayaking.
“We place tremendous value and appreciation on the very special business partnership we have with Hilton Worldwide,” stated Hussain Afeef, the owner of Allamanda Hotel Developments. “We have successfully developed a number of properties together and I am delighted that our professional and productive relationship will continue with this major announcement to bring an outstanding new brand to the local market.”
The Seychelles is an island nation located in the Indian Ocean, over 900 miles east of mainland Africa. The island nation spans an archipelago of 115 islands which feature lush green mountains, huge granite boulders, white sand palm-fringed beaches, crystal clear turquoise ocean waters and a tropical climate which is perfect for luxury holidays in the Indian Ocean.
