“We are delighted to host our Caribbean & The Americas Ceremony 2012 in Turks & Caicos, a paradise destination currently enjoying a surge in tourism arrivals due to its overwhelming natural attractions and quality hotels and resorts,” stated the President of the World Travel Awards (WTA), Graham Cooke.
The President went on to praise the Beaches brand for providing family-friendly holidays in Turks and Caicos.
“As the country’s largest private sector employer, Beaches exemplifies the importance of travel and tourism in Turks & Caicos in generating jobs and tourism revenue,” he added.
“The resort has also taken the family vacation concept to a whole new level in the Caribbean.”
The Beaches Turks and Caicos Resort Villages and Spa is located in one of the Caribbean’s leading scuba diving destinations and the all inclusive hotel is perfect for holidaymakers of all ages. The luxury Caribbean resort features a 45-square-foot waterpark, a pristine 12-mile beach with crystal clear ocean waters, and three villages that boast architecture influenced by Italy, France and the Caribbean.
During holidays to Turks and Caicos, adults can indulge with a relaxing treatment at the Red Lane Spa while children and teens enjoy a wide range of activities at the Kids Club or teen disco, Liquid.
The Beaches brand is owned by Sandals Resorts, a hotel group that operates hotels and resorts in Turks and Caicos, Jamaica, St Lucia, the Bahamas, Antigua and Cuba.
The World Travel Awards are regarded as the “Oscars of the travel industry” by the global media, and tonight’s ceremony will honour destinations, hotels and organisations that have largely contributed to the Caribbean and Americas tourism sector over the past 12 months.
