The Club Barbados undergoes undisruptive renovation works

As we announced last week the former Almond Beach Resort is no longer an Almond property and has now joined Elite Island Resorts, with a full name change in the process. Rebranded as The Club Barbados Resort and Spa, the resort is undergoing several changes to revamp its image and represent its new brand.

Some of the changes that are currently taking place and which seek to improve the overall guest experience for those spending holidays in Barbados at the revamped property, include the following, which are being carried out while causing minimal disturbance to guests:

  • Touching up paint/woodwork and beautifying landscaped areas.
  • Team of 6 men on property deep cleaning with pressure cleaners, painting: their focus is the public areas.
  • Updating staff training and service standards in line with the Elite Island Resorts brand.
  • 150 new sun loungers.
  • Bird Feeders in place, hypersonic system which humans cannot hear to be put in place to get rid of the vast majority but impossible to be completely bird free.
  • Drafted in Interior designer to restyle rooms & publics areas – team of painters will then start immediately – results will be evident by September/October.
  • Rooms will all be upgraded from September/October
  • The reception will be relocated and be fully air conditioned.
  • Enid’s Restaurant will be completely overhauled and refurbished.
  • New linens, towels, crockery, cookware will arrive on property shortly.
  • New A/C units being replaced where necessary
  • Replacement of the existing plastic furniture with darker more modern furniture

With the renovation and full refurbishment of guest rooms, The Club Barbados will receive a new makeover that will completely transform the resort, breathing new life in all of its facilities and public areas as well as the quality of service they will offer thanks to extensive staff training.

Two On-Site Restaurants - The Club now offers a total of 2 terrific on-site restaurants including: 1) The Sunset Restaurant & Bar, the main oceanfront restaurant offering a wide variety of local and international favorites; and 2) Enid’s Restaurant, offering delicious Caribbean and Bajan cuisine. The resort's All-Inclusive meal plan includes breakfast, lunch, afternoon tea, and dinner daily, along with all drinks by the glass (alcoholic and non-alcoholic). Room service is not included.

Three Bars - The Club now offers a total of 3 full bars including: 1) Sunset Bar & Lounge; 2) Beach Bar; and 3) Tommy’s Rum Shop. In addition, all of the onsite restaurants offer full bar service.
