Earth Hour was launched in 2006 and this year’s event was celebrated in 5,251 cities across 135 countries. Thousands of companies, organisations and residents took part including a number of historic monuments such as the pyramids in Egypt and the Roman Coliseum.

This is the third year that CasaMagna Marriott Cancun Resort took part in Earth Hour and Marriott International is setting an example for other hotels by establishing a sustainable lifestyle, setting standards for environmental responsibility, and showing commitment towards the local communities.
