Universal Resorts launches re-branded Maldives spa experience
Travellers enjoying Maldives holidays at Universal Resorts will be able to indulge with new menu options at the resorts as the company announces that it will be rebranding "The Spa" experience and implementing local ingredients into new treatments.
Universal Resorts has announced that it will be rebranding "The Spa" experience at three of its resorts in the Maldives, which will include the addition of local ingredients into the new treatments.
Travellers enjoying Maldives holidays at Kurumba, Baros, and Velassaru resorts will be able to indulge with a new menu of treatments featuring local remedies, cleansing practices, and treatments using products which have been manufactured by local communities in the Maldives and supported by Universal Resorts Corporate Social Responsibility Programmes.
Local ingredients which will be used in many of the new products in the rebranded spa include coconut oil, coconut nectar, and ghandakholi leaf.
Guests staying at the luxury all inclusive Indian Ocean resort, Kurumba, will receive a luxurious experience within the spa which features eight treatment rooms, a hydrotherapy pools, a yoga studio and an aroma steam room. The Spa at Kurumba will focus on coconut aroma massage, coco smoothies, and virgin coconut oil.
The Spa at Baros will be featuring rich coconut nectar in a range of scrubs, wraps and tonic drinks, all within four treatment rooms which offer double treatment beds, perfect for couples looking for a romantic experience.
The third Maldives hotel, Velassaru, offers ten treatment rooms, a swimming pool and yoga facilities, all overlooking a stunning lagoon. Velassaru will be concentrating on the ghandakholi leaf which contains aloe vera and skin-friendly oils perfect for relaxing treatments. Guests on Maldives holidays can rejuvenate with an energy-drink made from the ghandakholi leaf, coconut and aloe vera.
Universal Resorts operates eight secluded island resorts in the Indian Ocean including Baros, Velassaru, Kurumba, Kuramathi and Atoll Explorer in the Maldives, and the Labriz resort in the Seychelles.
The company works hard to ensure that guests receive a luxurious experience whilst respecting the culture and using the local products and relaxation rituals from Indian Ocean region.
