Tanzania Tourist Board prepared for World Travel Market Exhibition
The Tanzania Tourism Board has announced that is planning to make the most out of the World Travel Market (WTM) will be taking place next week in London, with 52 Tanzanian firms from the tourism sector taking part, promoting Tanzania holidays.
The Marketing Manager of the Tanzania Tourism Board (TTB), Geofrey Meena, has announced that the tourist board is planning to reap the benefits from the World Travel Market (WTM) which is scheduled to take place next week in London.
The annual event will be attended by 52 Tanzanian companies from the sub-tourism sector who specialise in the travel, tourism, and Tanzania holidays sector, and a range of Tanzanian products and services will be showcased at the exhibition.
Mr Meena explained that 27 tour operators, 21 hoteliers including Zanzibar hotels, and four airlines will be participating in the four-day event in London, and the Tanzania Tourist Board will promoting Tanzania holidays and the beautiful African destination to attendees.
"This is a big event that attracts thousands of prominent service providers in the world. There is a lot to learn from the event," Mr Meena commented.
The Tanzania Tourist Board will be hosting a reception for VIPs, an East African Community cocktail party, and a wide screen which will highlight the country's beauty and potential, from Tanzania hotels to adventurous African safaris. Mr Meena said that he is hoping the event will help promote the local tourism attractions in Tanzania and raise awareness of the African destinations amongst travel and trade professionals across the globe. Tanzanian exhibitors have attended a series of seminars to ensure they have a common marketing strategy during the event.
"There are issues which we expect questions from exhibitors and we believe our people should have common answers to avoid confusion," he added.
The Tanzania National Parks Authority (TANAPA), Minister of Natural Resources and Tourism, Zanzibar Commission for Tourism, and the Ngorongoro Conservation Area Authority will all be participating at the World Travel Market.
The Tanzania Tourism Board will be supervising the exhibition pavilion management, and Dr. Aloyce Nzuki, the Managing Director of TTB will the team leader and supervisor.
The World Travel Market provides an opportunity for global travel and trade companies to network and develop business during the four-day exhibition.
