Maldives holidays at what could soon be one of the New7Wonders of the world
So much more than deserted islands, great diving sites, pure clear waters and warm sandy beaches, Maldives holidays encircle a dreamy world of hidden treasures that have made it one of the finalist sites to become one of the New7Wonders of Nature.
A unique natural phenomenon on their own right, Maldives holidays comprise an awe-inspiring total of 1192 small islands, of which approximately 200 are completely deserted and inhabited.
Boasting an enviable ecosystem with many endemic species across their 25 atolls n the Indian Ocean, Maldives holidays brings the adventurous traveller yearning for discovery with a phenomenal pure natural landscape whilst also offering the leisure holidaymaker with amazing luxury holidays in a remote paradisiacal location.
Now the islands are taking this New7Wonders nomination opportunity to promote Maldives holidays to the island and drive tourism. Maldives Tourism Promotion Board together with the major organizations of the private sector of the Maldives recently met the Director of “New 7 Wonders”, Mr. Jean Paul de la Fuente.
The main aim of the meeting was to acquire the highest level of advice from the “New 7 Wonders” organisation on running a successful campaign for the Maldives to use winning strategies in the first New 7 Wonders of Nature poll ever to be held in history.
Promotion marketing for Maldives holidays and communications ideas were discussed to create ways to generate more votes for the Maldives locally and globally through virtual and non-virtual campaigns.
Also discussed were the possible economic benefits to the nation as a whole with the increased growth of tourism and increased popularity of Maldives holidays, as well as increased investment opportunities from prestige country brand identity by becoming one of the “New 7 Wonders” of the world.
The third phase of the “New 7 Wonders of Nature” is now underway, and you can vote Maldives from the 28 official finalists. Voting will continue throughout 2010 and 2011. The result of over 1 billion votes will reveal during the Official declaration event in 2011.
If you want to cast your vote for Maldives holidays and what you consider to be the best 7 Wonders of Nature there is still time to make your opinion count; simply log on to their website and select from the list of 28 finalists.
