This year, for the 17th time the annual Jazz Festival will account with a fine selection of performers, as the producers of the show present the finest contemporary artistes in the world of Jazz. Once again they are bringing the audience a very strong line-up of singers and musicians.
This time around and for the fourth consecutive year, The Crane is proud to be the official hotel sponsor of the Barbados Jazz Festival in January 2010. Running from January 11th - 17th 2010 and featuring famed performers such as Robin Thicke, Babyface, Smokey Robinson, Warren Hill, Lalah Hathaway, Elio Villafranca and Etienne Charles, will be the greatest excuse ever for jazz lovers to escape to wonderful Barbados holidays.
This most exceptional of Barbados hotels, The Crane resort will be the host of the cocktail and dinner show scheduled for Thursday, January 14th 2010 and the performer for the night will be renowned pianist, Elio Villafranca who will present Cuban Classics. A classically trained musician, Cuban-born Villafrance this talented performer has collaborated with leading jazz and Latin jazz artists and his performances have been celebrated on both the East and West Coasts.
Other performing guests include the man with the sexiest saxophone tunes in the world of jazz provided by Arturo Tapping. Often called “the smoothest, saxiest horn man the Caribbean has to offer”, his dynamic and spirit live performances have won him many fans around the world and may win him many new hearts of those lucky enough to be enjoying Barbados holidays during the festival.
