This holiday goes beyond the bounds of the traditional Tanzanian safari to explore remote bush country and experience the Great Migration. Departing from Arusha, the first stop is at the Maramboi Tented Camp in the Tarangire and Manyara ecosystem. This area attracts huge flocks of flamingos and other wading birds during the wet season. The next stop is at the Ngorongoro Farm House where you can enjoy a ‘classic’ safari experience in the Ngorongoro Crater. The final destination is the Serengeti National Park where you stay at the Exclusive Mobile Camp. This migratory camp, moves around the Serengeti following the path of the annual migration - it the perfect choice for those looking to witness this incredible natural spectacle. Day 1 - Fly to Nairobi

Fly overnight from Heathrow to Nairobi.

Day 2 - Arusha

On arrival in Nairobi connect with your flight to Kilimanjaro International Airport where you are met on arrival and transferred to Olasiti Lodge. This camp is a tranquil haven set just 7 km from central Arusha. The lodge is set in lush gardens and features 16 spacious bedrooms, a restaurant and a swimming pool. It is the ideal place to sit back and relax after your flight from London. (l,d)

Day 3 - Tarangire

After breakfast, drive 130 km to Maramboi Tented Camp arriving in time for lunch. This camp is set in the rolling grasslands between Tarangire and Manyara Lake. The camp features a swimming pool and 20 deluxe tents equipped with verandahs and en suite bathrooms. Guests can dine in the restaurant, on their private deck or even arrange a picnic in the bush. After lunch drive into Tarangire National Park for an afternoon game drive. (b,l,d)

Day 4 - Lake Manyara • Ngorongoro

After breakfast drive 90 km to Lake Manyara National Park for a picnic lunch by the lake. Enjoy an afternoon game drive along the lakeshore, an area famous for its tree-climbing lions. In the afternoon, continue 40 km to Ngorongoro Farm House arriving in time for dinner. This farmhouse faces the Oldeani Volcano just 5 km from the Ngorongoro Conservation Area and offers comfortable accommodation, a cosy restaurant and a swimming pool. (b,l,d)

Day 5 - Ngorongoro Crater

After breakfast, drive into the crater for a half-day game drive. This crater is often referred to as the ‘Garden of Eden’ due to its large variety of wildlife. The steep crater sides form a natural enclosure for a microcosm of East African wildlife. In the afternoon visit a local Masai village to gain an insight into to their culture and traditions. Day 6 - Serengeti

After breakfast drive to the Serengeti National Park with a picnic lunch en route. A brief stop is made at the Ol Duvai Gorge an area known as the 'Cradle of Mankind'. Continue to the Exclusive Mobile Camp arriving in the late afternoon with a game drive en route. The length of the drive on this day will depend on the location of the mobile camp, which follows the movement of the wildebeest migration. The migration movements do vary from year to year and this mobile camp allows guests to be “ there”, right where the action is during this spectacular natural event. This camp offers comfortable accommodation, spectacular scenery and incredible wildlife viewing. (b,l,d)

Day 7 - Serengeti

Take an optional early morning balloon flight* over the Serengeti followed by a 'bubbly' breakfast (optional extra) or an early morning game drive followed by breakfast at the lodge. After lunch enjoy an afternoon game drive on the vast plains of the Serengeti National Park. (b,l,d)

Day 8 - Serengeti

This last day is spent on game drives in the Serengeti where you get your final opportunity to see wildlife. The Serengeti is home to a vast array of species including Africa’s ‘Big 5’. (b,l,d)

Day 9 - Beach Holiday Extension or Fly Home

After breakfast transfer to the airstrip for a scheduled flight by light aircraft to Arusha (approximately 1 hr). You are met on arrival and transferred to a local restaurant for lunch. In the afternoon transfer to the Kilimanjaro International Airport for flight to Nairobi, then proceed with your chosen holiday extension or return to Heathrow. (b,l)
