Green and Blue Dolphin's Cruises

Duration: Half Day

green and blue dolphin's cruises

Enjoy a day of pure escapism during your holiday in Mauritius as you set sail along the rural East Coast of the island, stopping to swim, snorkel and sunbathe on the pristine white sands of an idyllic tropical islet on the way. Look out for wild dolphins and other wildlife as we sail through the sparkling azure waters of the Indian Ocean. This tour is the ideal way to experience Mauritius’ breathtaking natural beauty both above and below the water.

Departing from Belle Mare, your day will start by stepping on board a stylish and spacious catamaran and sailing out onto crystal clear turquoise waters to the famous Grand River South East Waterfalls, located at the mouth of the longest river in Mauritius. Join the locals as they swim and dive off the top of the waterfall into the river below, or explore the lush green surroundings and make the most of a great photo opportunity.

We stop for swimming and snorkeling in the inviting waters of the Indian Ocean before continuing onwards to the tropical islet of Ile aux Cerfs (French for Deer Island). Soak up the sun on deck whilst savouring the taste of a delicious exotic lunch as we sail towards a small piece of paradise. Ile aux Cerfs floats in the breathtaking emerald lagoon of "Trou d'eau Douce, surrounded by coral reefs inhabited by an abundance of marine life. Marvel at the pristine white sand beaches fringed with swaying palms as we sail into shore.

Spend your time relaxing on the beaches and swimming in the crystalline lagoon waters, or indulge in one of the many water sports available on the island, which include parasailing, kayaking, wind surfing, water skiing and snorkeling. The warm tropical waters host an array of exciting marine life and vibrant coral species, making snorkeling a particularly popular activity here. Swim amongst brightly-coloured fish, sea turtles, octopus, moray eels and many other sea creatures. The diversity of this breathtaking natural aquarium will amaze and delight you.

On the way back, you may be lucky enough to see wild dolphins jumping and flipping above the water, or even swimming alongside the boat. The friendly, graceful creatures naturally inhabit the waters around Tamarin Bay on Mauritius’ West Coast and often entertain tourists with their playful antics.
