Other sea creatures you may find include sea turtles, octopus, sea cucumbers, grey reef sharks, whale sharks, manta rays, eagle rays, moray eels, sea anemones and a myriad of other marine species swimming in and around the spectacular coral gardens. This breathtaking natural aquarium will both delight and enthral you.

Luxury Maldives resort Kanuhura will reopen on 1 December 2016 after an 18-month renovation project to update and expand the hotel. The five-star private island complex – run by Sun Resorts – now has 94 bohemian-style suites either right on the beach or on stilts above the sea.

The Hurawalhi Island Resort in Maldives is scheduled to open to guests in December, 2016. The luxury hotel has an undersea restaurant, a champagne pavilion, and 90 upscale villas, including 60 Ocean Villas and 30 Beach Villas. The eco-friendly resort has a series of sustainable features including solar panels, a water bottling plant, hot water recovery and an in-house marine biologist.
