Day 1 - Arrive Delhi
Arrive in Delhi, where you will be met and assisted by a representative then transferred to your hotel.
Delhi is a cosmopolitan city that has a rich history stretching back thousands of years. It has been the capital of at least seven or eight great civilisations, and each of them has left monuments worth exploring.
Spend the rest of the day relaxing at the hotel or explore the surroundings on your own.
Stay overnight in New Delhi.
Day 2 -Delhi
After breakfast, you will be going for a full day city tour of Old and New Delhi. In Old Delhi you will visit the 17th century Jama Masjid and walk through the narrow, winding lanes of the colourful and bustling Chandni Chowk.
In New Delhi, You can drive past The Presidential Palace and all the government buildings. Also visit the glorious Qutab Minar and the 16th century Humayun's tomb, a predecessor to the Taj Mahal.
Evening is at leisure. Stay overnight in New Delhi.
Day 3 -Delhi - Agra
In the morning after breakfast, drive to Agra (210 kms / 3.5 Hrs)
Upon arrival in Agra, check in at the hotel.
Synonymous with the Taj Mahal the beautiful city is home to some of the finest mausoleums, forts and palaces. The entire city speaks volumes about the wealth, craftsmanship and architecture of the Mughal Dynasty.
In the afternoon visit the massive Agra Fort which was originally started by Emperor Akbar in 1565, but his son Jahangir & grandson Shah Jahan later made valuable additions to it.
In the evening, visit the Taj Mahal. The Taj was built by Mughal Emperor Shahjahan to enshrine the mortal remains of his beloved Queen Mumtaz Mahal.
Stay overnight in Agra.
Day 4 - Agra - Jaipur
After breakfast, check-out and drive to Jaipur (235 kms / 5 hrs).
En route visit the deserted city of Fatehpur Sikri.
On arrival in Jaipur, check-in at the hotel.
Jaipur, the capital of Rajasthan province is known for its arts and crafts, jewellery, handpainted fabrics and stone sculptures; it is one of North India's finest examples of a planned city embodying the best of Rajput and Mughal architecture
Spend the evening at leisure. Stay overnight in Jaipur.
Day 5 - Jaipur
In the morning after breakfast, enjoy a full day city tour of Jaipur.
You will first visit the Hilltop fortress at Amer. On the way back stop at the "Palace of Winds"
Continue to Jantar Mantar, an observatory built by Sawai Jai Singh II in the 18th centuary. Also visit the City Palace. The palace is now principally a museum housing a collection of great treasures.
Spend the evening at leisure. Stay overnight in Jaipur.
Day 6 - Jaipur - Cochin
In the morning after breakfast connect your flight to Cochin, Via Bangalore
Upon arrival in Cochin, check-in at the hotel.
Cochin (Kochi) is spread across islands and promontories in a stunning location between the Arabian Sea and the Backwaters. The city was founded in 1341 when a flood created a natural safe port which became the principal harbour for Malabar Coast's spice trade.
Spend the rest of the day at leisure. Stay overnight in Cochin.
Day 7 - Cochin
After breakfast, set off for a half day tour of Cochin.
Visit the St. Francis Church, Santa Cruz Basilica, Synagogue, Chinese Fishing Nets and Dutch Palace.

Day 8 - Cochin - Munnar
In the morning after breakfast, drive to Munnar (130 kms / 4 Hrs).
Upon arrival in Munnar, check-in at the hotel.
Munnar is a nature-lover's paradise. Snuggling in the green and serene Kannan Devan Hills lies the quiet and restful resort of Munnar. Panoramic views of low-flying clouds and mist filled valleys make it a pretty little haven with a cool bracing climate.
It was opened up out of virgin forests a century ago by pioneering planters. Within its remote and elderly churches - gracious, stone-structures with ancient chandeliers and rosewood pews. A little beyond lies Anaimudi, South India's highest peak.
Spend the rest of the day at leisure. Stay overnight in Munnar.
Day 9 - Munnar - Kumarakom
In the morning after breakfast, proceed to visit the Tata Tea Museum. Visitors to the Museum can satisfy their curiosity on various stages of Tea processing, also learn a thing or two about the production of black tea.
Later drive to Kumarakom (150 kms / 4 Hrs). Upon arrival, check-in at the hotel.
Located on the Southern coast of India enjoys a well-balanced tropical climate. Nature has composed its magic to perfection here. A million verdant coconut palms lining the rivers lean to examine its reflections on the glassy rivers. Everywhere, nature is at its best. Blooming forth in perfumes of flowers. In the riot of colours of multi-hued birds. In the fresh, succulent and bountiful freshwater fishes.
Spend the evening at leisure. Stay overnight in Kumarakom.
Day 10 - Kumarakom
Enjoy breakfast at the hotel.
Spend the rest of the day at leisure. Or you can also enjoy a Traditional Ayurvedic Massage at the hotel on a direct payment basis.
Day 11 - Kumarakom - Cochin
In the morning, you will be assisted and transferred in your private car to Cochin International Airport (90 kms / 2.5 Hrs) to connect flight for onward destination.

We stayed on a B&B basis so cannot comment on the hotel food overall as we eat out in different locations. but the breakfast in all hotels was good. Out trip encompassed the best on India which was tailored to our own specifications as a private tour. But the trip itself overall was fantastic...
