Sailing to Isla Mujeres

Duration: Half Day

sailing to isla mujeres

Isla Mujeres translates to the Island of Women and is located only 8 miles across from the Bahia de Mujeres (Bay of Women) in Cancun. A short boat ride from Cancun will take you to this beautiful and breathtaking little island. This tiny islet is a mere 5 miles in length and a half mile in width, but the treasures found here are certainly not equally small! A cruise on a Catamaran will take you to this lovely and laid back island.

This former fishing village now has several activities for your pleasure; with excellent shopping opportunities, great restaurants and fantastic beaches. Swim in the calm crystal clear waters or relax under the sun at the Isla Mujeres Beach club where you can indulge in the open bar, enjoy a continental breakfast, a delicious lunch and you will also be provided with towels.

If you wish to take advantage of the other enjoyable activities at this most charming and enchanting island of Isla Mujeres then the shopping or snorkelling tours might just be the thing to appeal to you and best suit your leisure needs. The snorkelling equipment will be available as well as professionally trained and experienced guides that will be on hand for your comfort and safety.

Board the vessel that will take you sailing towards a wonderful Caribbean Reef. The Manchones Reef begins just off the shore of Isla Mujeres while the Cuevones and Banderas Reefs are also close by. Regardless of which reef you visit; the snorkelling around Isla Mujeres is just remarkable; perfect for beginners as well as seasoned snorkelers. Be intrigued by the abundance of exotic marine life.

Looking for an activity that will keep you dry? Then opt for shopping at Isla Mujeres where bargain prices are available on items such as, fine jewellery, clothing, souvenirs, tobacco, sportswear, Batik clothing, beachwear, swimming, and snorkelling & scuba gear. The town is small and you can walk on every street in under two hours without hustling. So stroll along the streets at your own leisure and peruse the stores that are located at almost every corner.

The simple layout of this small town makes it impossible to get lost and most stores have English speaking staff so you won’t have to worry when inquiring for items. US currency is widely accepted. Also feel free to try any of the local restaurants that make succulent meals with the catch of the day; seafood lovers will be in heaven!

The tour includes:
• Sailing to Isla Mujeres, stop on el Faro reef, 1 hour snorkel
• Continue to Playa Norte where the passangers will go to the restaurant to delight a buffet meal in Playa Sol restaurant
• Free time to enjoy the beach or shopping
