Ocho Rios Hilite and Shopping

Duration: 4 Hours

ocho rios hilite and shopping

Join us for the best combination of island shopping and natural sightseeing! Discover little- known places in Jamaica and uncover small nature treasures that most tourists hardly ever get to see. Explore Jamaica’s most buoyant botanic world and get to see the island at its most verdant and scenically lush!

We begin with a ride through ‘Fern Gully’; an impressive green road lined with amazingly tall ferns. Immerse in this green wonder as we walk three miles into an incredible valley shaded by no less than 600 types of magnificent ferns. Formerly a river bed, it is now possible to walk through this incredible valley of evergreens and hardwood. Although there is no wildlife present in these grounds, a scenic walk through the valley will be a treat for your eyes as the views are something beyond your imagination.

From here we continue towards yet another breathtaking natural location at the magnificent Shaw Park. This amazing botanical garden of stunning pristine beauty will leave you breathless and lost for words to describe its peculiar and unique allure. Located high on a hilltop and overlooking the deep azure waters of the Caribbean Sea, these gardens embrace 25 lush acres of tropical splendour with flamboyant flowers that blossom every month of the year.

Go down the gardens’ beautiful trails and explore this gem of a place with its beautiful plants and flowers blooming on every corner. But this is not all; these incredible gardens also boast their own breathtaking waterfalls which majestically cascade down a rocky course filled with luxurious plant specimens growing on all sides while lush tropical flowers forming beautiful bowers.

After these two incredible encounters with nature we head down to Ocho Rios’ business district so you may indulge in some fantastic duty free shopping. And after you’ve shopped and browsed enough at this world-class quality stores we continue towards a local craft village to shop for some handmade goods and handicrafts.

And so we reach the end of our day trip but not before stopping at yet another great location. Our final stop will be at the grand Dun’s River Falls so that you can refresh and unwind at one of Jamaica’s most beautiful spots. For your third time this day, you will be getting in touch with the purest and wildest of the island’s nature. Let yourself be taken away by the amazing beauty of this imposing waterfalls as they majestically cascade down and roll all the way into to the Caribbean sea. Bathe at one of the falls’ refreshing pools, immerse under one of its flowing currents, climb the waterfall in a human-led chain or simply indulge in a therapeutic massage at one of its natural Jacuzzis.

Take time to top up on your suntan and just lay there passively contemplating all the beauty around you. Do little or do it all! The choice as to how you end your day here is entirely yours! Sit back, relax, look around and enjoy; let Dunn’s River falls do the rest!
