Granadine Fly Or Sail Day Trip
Duration: Half Day
If you want a day of true escapism and discovery during your Grenada holiday, then this is most certainly the tour to quench all your adventure needs! Be like a true explorer and embark on an exciting journey that will have you flying, sailing and conquering new lands!
We start off the adventure by boarding a small plane that will be taking you on a 25 minute flight along Grenada’s East coast and all the way to Union Island. Once there you will be led towards an impressive 80 feet Carriacou-built schooner. The “Scaramouche” is an imposing vessel that will take you on a wonderful sailing journey along Caribbean crystalline waters in true pirate style. A unique sailing experience in an authentic schooner and a spending opportunity to truly relax, take in the serene sights and enjoy your time in this singular ship replica reminiscent of times gone by.
Your first sailing destination will be at Mayreau Island, the smallest of the Grenadines Islands and a completely inhabited haven with an approximate population of only 300, all living in the village at the south-west side of the island. This tiny village boasts 4 lively bars and restaurants, colourful local rum shops and regular domino tournaments as well as pool tables. And with all this livelihood and quaint amenities around…who needs more for entertainment? Enjoy your time at this unique and picturesque island where hiking trails abound offering the most spectacular views of the neighbouring Grenadines.
From here we take sail once more and this time towards the nearby Tobago keys from which you will be able to enjoy some of the best diving and snorkelling in the Caribbean. Tobago keys comprise a national marine park where everything is kept strictly as nature intended. This group of small deserted islands are all part of a protected area where you can have the privilege of swimming close to many colourful fish and swim by even turtles!
We set sell again and this time we head towards our third and final island at the exclusive resort of Palm Island, a deserted private cay named by the World Travel Awards as “The World’s Leading Private Island”. This most romantic of Caribbean resorts with untouched surroundings has been named as one of the best places to stay in the world and with this unique excursion you’ll have the chance to get a taste of its irresistible allure. Our day ends with a relaxing and panoramic return by boat as we make our way back to Grenada and sail away into the sunset.
This fabulous sailing adventure will include a delicious lunch cooked on board while drinks will be flowing freely all day long, so that you can sit back, relax and truly give in to admiring the many breathtaking virginal landscapes you’ll be encountering. For a day of pure escapism, total unwinding and the ultimate mix of relaxation and adventure coupled with a touch of indulgence, do not forget to take this fabulous sailing/island hopping tour while on your Grenada holiday! We promise it will be so much more than you could ever expect!
