In this excursion you’ll be driven through the country’s most stunning scenery, passing through the most intricate tropical forests with its rivers and mountains. Be astounded with the humble beauty of small villages that have remained stuck in their old traditional ways for hundreds of years and see Dominican children play and run across fields as they wave and smile at our passing truck. This safari tour will include an exciting wild river crossing and swimming at leisure in a tranquil crystal clear river…so that you can experience the best of both worlds…the excitement of the wild and the calm beauty of the peaceful flora.
Whilst on this excursion you’ll be stopping over at a traditional mountain home with the opportunity of meeting and greeting a friendly Dominican family that will offer you the best of their hospitality. From there you will continue to enjoy a fabulous picnic buffet lunch at a river ranch accompanied by the live entertainment of performers dancing to the popular rhythms of merengue music.
For a refreshing change throughout this action packed tour you will be later enjoying a jungle river boat ride towards a pristine secluded beach where you’ll have the chance to engage in some entertaining “boogie boarding” or if you prefer just relax and sunbathe in these paradisiacal surroundings of absolute seclusion stretching 15 miles of nothing but sandy beach and sunshine.
Our fabulous safari excursion will also include a stopover at a local “Rum Shack” with locally made products like coffee, rum and cigars and all at very cheap prices! So this is a unique opportunity to get hold of some very good bargains! And your trip holds more surprises yet…you will also be paying a visit to a local fruit plantation with the opportunity of tasting fresh sugar cane and the best of the fruit produce. On your way try not to get your attention distracted by something other than the many beauties of the landscape, the native animals wandering off, little creatures like iguana and turtles and even the ferocious crocodiles!
