Yasika Adventures Zip Lining

Duration: Half Day

yasika adventures zip lining

For those looking for action and adventure during their holiday in the Dominican Republic, forget skydiving, rock climbing or bungee jumping. Instead, enjoy a safer alternative that will still give you that ultimate adrenaline rush. Enjoy an unforgettable day zip lining above the jungle at Yasika Adventures on the Dominican’s North Coast. This is one excursion you won’t want to miss.

Located only a 30 minute drive from Puerto Plata, Yasika Adventures offers an exhilarating experience for its visitors, who will be suspended over 100 feet above the ground amidst the Dominican’s lush tropical jungle. Once you arrive at the adventure park, you will be given a safety briefing, equipment training and information on the zip trail before your adventure begins. After being launched off the first platform, you will move across the cables from one platform to the next, soaring at speeds of up to 30 miles per hour. There are 10 platforms in total and eight cables (the longest extending 250 meters), providing eight different rides which each offer their own unique experience.

Fly like a bird across the lush green forest canopy and marvel at the spectacular views of the mountainside and jungle. You will also see the Atlantic Ocean and Puerto Plata in the distance. Attached to the cables by a safety rope and climbing gear, you will be suspended in the air between 100 and 300 meters, enabling you to gain fantastic panoramic views that will literally take your breath away. This method of transport is also an excellent way to preserve nature because visitors can travel above the trees without disturbing the wildlife. Safety is of the upmost importance in the park, so all the equipment is well-maintained and the staff members are all highly trained. You can relax knowing that you and your family are in very safe hands.

Once you have caught your breath after zip-lining, spend time browsing the gift shops for souvenirs and then enjoy some thirst quenching native fruit and other refreshments. You will also get the opportunity to talk to the park’s owner and other members of staff. This tour comes highly recommended for thrill seekers and adrenaline junkies alike.
