This sightseeing tour will guide you through the main residential areas and commercial district of the city, which was founded in 1737 and has a current population of one million. The historic National Theatre, an architectural masterpiece, is one of the highlights of the tour, which you can reach by walking along the Paseo Colón. Other fascinating landmarks include the National Museum, the Supreme Court of Justice, Sabana Park Metropolitan Park and the central commercial district.

Eating out and socialising is a big part of the locals’ (Ticos) lives, so San José has an excellent variety of bars and restaurants. It's easy to find something to suit most tastes and budgets.
