Bordered by the mighty Atlantic to the east and by the warm and calm Caribbean Sea to the west, Barbados is an island with many different identities. There's sure to be a side to suit you and fulfil your holiday dreams.

Barbados

With a pristine collection of palm-fringed beaches and luxury beach resorts, Barbados holidays promise a soothing and relaxing break in a truly laid back and inviting atmosphere coupled with a magical encounter with a vibrant Caribbean culture. The place to rediscover colonial British heritage coupled with island warmth and sunny smiles, Barbados always delivers enchantment and delight. Bring the whole family along for a fun getaway or go during carnival and get down with the locals in true 'Bajan' style.

Introducing Barbados

The laid back Caribbean lifestyle suits the serene beaches of the island's eastern side while the Atlantic's big waves are a surfer's paradise. Stunning scenery and the energising power of carnival and calypso mean that even for a small island, Barbados is sure to occupy a big place in your heart.

Enjoy a romantic break for two in a luxury all inclusive resort, learn to windsurf on the warm waters of the Caribbean or get caught up in the calypso rhythm at one of the island's happening nightspots.

If you're not sure where's best for you, save yourself the research. Our travel advisers are on the other end of the phone, they have visited the island many times and are ready to help you decide where to stay in Barbados.

Experience the beautiful Barbadian beaches and go beyond

With the clear, shallow waters of the Caribbean, the mysterious deep blues of the Atlantic and the unique pink sand on the shoreline, Barbados and the beach go hand in hand. With hotels to suit all budgets, there's nothing standing in the way of you and an unforgettable beach adventure.

Beyond the beach, the island's interior is just as spectacular. The breathtaking limestone hills and vast plantation estates hint at the island's darker colonial past. But it is a past that is not hidden; with many fascinating museums charting the course of this bitter chapter in human history. A visit to one of them is a very easy and enriching experience.

Carnival, nature and the Caribbean

Across the whole island you will experience the trademark warmth of the locals. These are people who enjoy life and aren't afraid to show it. Looking around this island paradise it's easy to see why, especially during carnival time.

The natural wonders of the island range from the famously pink sands to the mysterious underground cave network beneath the island. Eco-tourists will especially enjoy the natural phenomena at Harrison's Cave and Welchman Hall Gully. Barbados is also home to the second largest hawksbill turtle breeding population in the Caribbean with beaches tightly protected to avoid visitors crushing eggs buried in the sands. Even when many may not be aware of it, Barbados is definitely an island with green credentials.

With scintillating watersports, jaw dropping landscapes and a lifestyle that's the envy of the world, Barbados has it all. Simply tell our experts what kind of holiday you want and they can create an unforgettable Barbadian adventure that's made just for you.
