Marsa Alam Diving Tour - Marsa Mubarak

Duration: Half Day

Marsa Alam Diving Tour - Marsa Mubarak

Once a small fishing village, Marsa Alam is now one of the fastest growing holiday resorts in Egypt and the gateway to some of the most spectacular diving in the Southern Red Sea. The dive sites in this region are dotted around a 100km stretch of coastline and around 20 sites have already been identified. This tour will enable you to explore the protected bay of Marsa Mubarak, which offers some of the largest and most beautiful shore dives accessible from Port Ghalib. Rich in marine life, the beauty and diversity of this site will ensure an unforgettable underwater adventure.

Departing from Port Ghalib, you will take a short boat trip across the sparkling waters of the Red Sea to Marsa Mubarak, one of the most beautiful dive sites in the Marsa Alam region. Both sides of Marsa Mubarak bay have been formed by enormous coral gardens and beds of sea grass, which are an ideal habitat for a variety of coral reef fish. The magnificent underwater seascapes offer a range of exciting diving experiences, which vary from pinnacles to reef walls, including one of the most beautiful coral reefs in the Red Sea. The diversity of the area is one reason why it is so popular with divers, and it fortunately remains undisturbed by underwater mass tourism so far.

Occupying part of the Great Rift Valley, the crystal clear warm waters of the Red Sea host a magnificent variety of flora and fauna, and this site is no exception. You are likely to see hundreds of exotic fish, including butterfly fish, crocodile fish, parrotfish and angelfish, as well as giant green sea turtles, manta rays, moray eels, octopus, whale sharks, dolphins and stone fish. If you are lucky, you may even get a glimpse of the endangered Dugong “sea cow”, which occasionally visit this sheltered bay to graze on the sea grass.

As you explore the pristine coral gardens of Marsa Mubarak, marvel at the vibrant colours and shapes of the hard and soft corals, sea fans and aquatic plants. This underwater paradise will take your breath away – just remember to bring your underwater camera to capture the memories! The Red Sea is renowned for being one of the best diving destinations in the world so make sure you don’t miss out on this spectacular undersea experience during your holiday in Egypt.
