Full Day at the Pyramids
Duration: Full Day
For this unique excursion you will be taken on a day trip to see the most amazing ancient monuments in Egyptian history and most importantly, Egypt's most famous pyramids.
Leaving the hotel at around 9.00am, you will begin your journey by visiting the famous 3 Great Pyramids of Giza. Your guide will give you a personalised tour around the pyramids where you will be allowed to ask questions as you go along. You will visit the great Pyramid of Keops, the Sphinx and the Granite Temple.
At the end of the tour, time will be given for picture taking and if you want you will have the option of taking a camel ride through the Egyptian desert, amidst one of the world's most famous landmark. And if all this doesn't quench your thirst for adventure you can also visit the solar Boats for an extra cost.
For the other half of your Pyramids Excursion, in the afternoon you will be taken to Memphis & Sakkara to see one of the magnificent statues of Ramses II and visit the funerary complex of King Zoser, the king that had built the first ever pyramid - the famous Step Pyramid.
You will depart by car to Memphis, the Capital of the Ancient Kingdom of Lower Egypt, which you will reach after a pleasant drive across typical Egyptian countryside.
First, you will be stopping at the Alabaster Sphinx and the remaining of two colossal statues of Ramses II. Again you will be allowed time for picture taking, after the guide has given an explanatory introduction to the site and its history.
Then you will proceed to the Necropolis of Sakkara to see the Serapeum, the sacred site where the Apis bulls where buried and worshipped as they were believed to be an incarnation of Ptah. Later on, you will be taken to see the Mastabas of Ti & Ptahotep and the famous Step Pyramid of Zoser. You will end the day with a visit to the Funeral Temple.
Finally, after the day's adventures are over you will be taken back to your hotel for an evening of relaxation and taking in all the wonders you've just witnessed.that is unless you want to later go for a fabulours evening Dinner Cruise or visit the Sound and Light Show at the Pyramids of Giza.
