Ramada by Wyndham Ho Tram Strip to be brand's flagship hotel in Vietnam
Wyndham Hotels and Resorts has announced it will open a new beachfront hotel in Vietnam. Ramada by Wyndham Ho Tram Strip will be the company's first Ramada resort in the south-east Asian country, opening on a 2.2km-stretch of tropical beach in the upcoming southern seaside destination of Ho Tram.
A new beachfront resort from renowned hotel brand Ramada will debut in the southern Vietnamese beach town of Ho Tram in late 2019. The new Ramada by Wyndham Ho Tram Strip will be the brand’s first flagship hotel in the country, featuring 241 upscale rooms overlooking 2.2km of tropical sandy beach.
The new hotel is being developed on the Ho Tram Strip as part of Vietnam’s first integrated beach resort destination, which spans 164 hectares of sand-fringed seafront. The resort will feature the brand’s signature international amenities and services, complemented by regionally-inspired designs, local flavours and personalized touches.
The 12-storey-high hotel will feature sea views from many of its rooms and will include seven two-bedroom penthouses and 36 three-bedroom villas, making the hotel ideal for families. Two tropical outdoor pools, reflective ponds, and a water-lined walkway to the beach will be integrated into the landscaped grounds.
Other hotel facilities will include a spa, gym, two restaurants, a pool bar, and meeting rooms for business travellers. Guests will also be able to access the facilities and attractions of the surrounding Ho Tram Strip, including a casino, a shopping precinct, multiple restaurants and bars, and The Bluffs, an 18-hole links-style championship golf course designed by Greg Norman. A brand new water park is also under construction, as well as an amphitheatre seating up to 2,000 people.
The hotel, which is currently under construction and expected to open in late 2019, will be located less than two hours from the nation’s largest metropolis, Ho Chi Minh City, and Tan Son Nhat International Airport (SGN). It will also be just 60km from the planned Long Thanh International Airport, set to become a major air gateway for the region.
Wyndham Hotels’ President for South East Asia and Pacific Rim, Joon Aun Ooi, said:
“Vietnam is one of the world's most dynamic tourism destinations. The country attracted 7.9 million international visitors in the first half of 2018, putting it firmly on course for yet another record-breaking year – potentially exceeding the previous record of 12.9 million visitors achieved in 2017. To cater for this strong demand, impressive new developments are rising all across the country, including the Ho Tram Strip – Vietnam's first and largest integrated resort.”
He also added:
“Ramada by Wyndham Ho Tram Strip is a spectacular new project that will add to the diverse attractions and amenities in this impressive development. The debut of Ramada in Vietnam will also present travellers with a trusted brand in the upper-midscale sector, blending world-class amenities with local touches to create authentic guest experiences. With its idyllic seafront setting and close proximity to Ho Chi Minh City, I am confident that Ramada by Wyndham Ho Tram Strip will become popular with domestic and international travellers alike.”
Vietnam is a key focus market for Wyndham Hotels and Resorts. The company, which currently operates the Wyndham Legend Halong Bay, plans to open six new hotels and resorts under its Wyndham Grand, Wyndham, and Wyndham Garden brands over the next three years.
With almost 850 locations spanning 64 countries, Ramada is one of the world's most recognised hotel brands. Brand owner Wyndham Hotels and Resorts is a leading provider of hotel management services with nearly 9,000 hotels and 20 powerhouse brands worldwide.
Throughout South East Asia and Pacific Rim, Wyndham Hotels and Resorts currently has more than 120 hotels operating under its Ramada Worldwide by Wyndham, Wyndham Grand, Wyndham, Wyndham Garden, Days Inn by Wyndham, TRYP by Wyndham, Howard Johnson by Wyndham, and Microtel Inn & Suites by Wyndham brands.
