Jumeirah at Saadiyat Island Resort to open in Abu Dhabi in November 2018

The Jumeirah Group has announced that it will open a new luxury resort in Abu Dhabi in November 2018. The Jumeirah at Saadiyat Island Resort will be designed by DBI Australia, and will have a beachfront location.

Situated on Saadiyat Island, 500 metres off the coast of Abu Dhabi, the luxury resort will have 293 guest rooms, including 70 suites and eight villas. Accommodation will feature private balconies with sea views or patios and terraces with access to the tropical gardens.

Linda Griffin, the General Manager, of Jumeirah at Saadiyat Island Resort, stated:

“This resort is a place like no other, located footsteps from one of the most beautiful protected beaches in the Arabian Gulf. Every aspect of the resort’s design and intended guest experience has been influenced by the beauty of this location.”

“Guests can embrace sunrise yoga, find a secluded spot to watch the sunset, or relax in one of three infinity swimming pools that merge into the sand dunes and, during the turtle nesting season, there will be a special opportunity to see the Hawksbill ‎turtles on the 9km sweeping beachfront. This will be island life at its best.”

Upon arrival at the resort, guests will be greeted by the public exhibition “The Saadiyat Story”, which featured in the United Arab Emirates pavilion for the World Expo 2010, and was designed by Foster + Partners. The property will offer eight dining venues and bars, including the lobby cafe space Al Majilis, the poolside Italian Mare Mare restaurant, the all-day dining White restaurant, and the Levantine-inspired Zaytoune dining venue. There will also be a Sports Lounge and Shisha Lounge.

Guests will have access to an array of leisure facilities. These include three outdoor swimming pools, a tennis court, a modern fitness centre that spans 7,530 square feet of space, and over 6,400-square-feet of meeting space which can be separated into five different areas. The resort’s lavish spa will cover 23,680 square feet, and will have 14 treatment rooms, a Turkish Hammam, a sauna, steam room, salt room, hydrotherapy pools, and a traditional Arabic Rasul room.

Saadiyat Island is a world-class leisure and cultural destination, just 10 minutes from Downtown Abu Dhabi. The island boasts soaring sand dunes, turquoise water, and fantastic attractions including the Guggenheim Abu Dhabi, the Zayed National Museum and the Louvre Abu Dhabi
