All Suite Sandals Royal Barbados welcomes first guests

Luxury all-inclusive specialist Sandals International has debuted its second resort on the Caribbean island of Barbados. The all-suite hotel aimed at couples opened in the island’s popular tourist hub of St Lawrence Gap just before Christmas and is situated adjacent to the existing Sandals Barbados hotel.

Among the new-build hotel’s special amenities are Sandals’ first rooftop infinity pool and a four-lane bowling alley. The resort’s 222 concierge and butler-level suites – including Sandals’ signature Rondoval, Millionaire Butler, Skypool and Crystal Lagoon Swim-Up suite concepts – are catered by three new restaurants.

The brand’s signature five-star Global Gourmet restaurants include the American Tavern for casual dining in an industrial, modern setting; Asian- fusion Chi with design inspired by traditional tea rooms; and Butch’s Steak and Seafood, a traditional a la carte steak and seafood house.

Along with Caribbean, Mediterranean and French restaurants, Sandals Royal Barbados offers six new restaurants in total, bringing the number of unique dining options available for Sandals Resorts’ guests in Barbados to seventeen.

As well as an entertainment pavilion with a bowling alley, living room and games room, the resort also features a gentlemen’s barbershop and Sandals Resorts’ first rooftop entertainment complex. The expansive roof space features 360-degree ocean views, an infinity pool with chaise lounge seating, live music, La Parisienne French bistro and a cantilevered cocktail lounge called Raising the BARbados.

In all, Sandals Royal Barbados contains five bars including the brand’s first beer garden – the Lover’s Lane Bar – with a selection of international, local and craft beers. Also new to Sandals Resorts, a Beach House Shop sells resort and beach wear, home goods, local crafts and provisions with a Caribbean flavour.

Other exclusive amenities at the hotel include Sandals’ signature full-service Red Lane Spa. For guests in top category suites, Sandals Royal Barbados will provide private chauffeured Rolls-Royce airport transfers.

For meetings, events and special celebrations, Sandals Royal Barbados offers extensive outdoor and indoor space including the Royal Lawn and a 6,000-square-foot conference facility with state-of-the-art technology and in-house catering and event planning services.

“Every new resort we develop stands on the shoulders of what came before. We keep getting better and better and for us, right now, Sandals Royal Barbados is a game changer.”

Said Sandals International’s chair and founder Gordon Stewart.

According to Stewart, Sandals Royal Barbados was designed to complement the adjacent Sandals Barbados, with guests staying at either property having the opportunity to enjoy the amenities of both.
