Coral Hotel refurbished opens at Atlantis Paradise Islands in Bahamas

The Atlantis Paradise Island in the Bahamas has officially relaunched the new Coral Hotel following an extensive refurbishment programme. The luxury resort renovated the former Coral Towers as part of a multi-million-dollar upgrade project.

The Coral Hotel has refreshed accommodation, and each of the 693 guest rooms have double or queen size beds, modern bathrooms with showers and bath tubs, and private terraces or balconies with view of the harbour, gardens, or sea. There are also in-room refrigerators where guests can pre-order their refreshments.

“We’ve taken a step back to look to the future of Atlantis and truly understand what motivates today’s travellers to choose a destination.”

Explained Howard C. Karawan, the President and Managing Director of Atlantis, Paradise Island.

The building caters for families, and there is a dedicated “Coral’s Kids’ Concierge” which will help plan activities for families so they can connect with:

“Local Bahamian culture and ecology, opportunities to explore the coral reefs and marine environments and to spend time together in pursuit of indelible learning moments.”

The designer Jeffrey Beers, recreated the pool areas, and added private cabanas, family-friendly water activities, and there’s a swim-up bar where guests can savour refreshing local Bahamian frozen fruit treats and drinks. In the new redecorated Lobby Lounge, there’s an ice cream parlour and a bakery, and a Soda Fountain that serves cocktails, coffees, milkshakes gelato and cakes.

Atlantis, Paradise Island is an ocean-themed luxury resort situated on its own island in the Bahamas. The complex features a wide range of accommodation options that cater for couples, families and groups. Facilities at the beachfront resort include a full-service lavish Mandara Spa, two kids’ clubs, 30 restaurants and bars with diverse international cuisine, a Tom Weiskopf-designed oceanfront golf course, 11 fresh and seawater lagoon swimming pools, the Atlantis Casino, and Aquaventure, the largest open-air marine habitat in the world, with 141 acres of waterscape, fun waterslides, river rides and multiple swimming pools.

Part of the multi-million-dollar refurbishment and expansion programme includes the new Marina Village which will open this autumn.

The venue will celebrate the culture and spirit of the Bahamas, and there will be a series of markets, seasonal festivals, dining experiences, tastings of local dishes and craft beer, and performances from local musicians and artists.
