Ani Villas to expand private resort collection with new property in Dominican Republic

Ani Villas has announced that it will be expanding its collection with the debut of a new private resort in the Caribbean. Ani Villas Dominican Republic will be located on the north coast of the country, and is scheduled to open to guests in the summer of 2017.

The newly constructed resort will be designed by Estudio Sarah Garcia and will be set on its own peninsula overlooking the ocean, sandy coves and distant mountains. The property will have 14 private spacious rooms with 24-hour butler service, decking areas with sea views and cocoon hanging chairs, large bathrooms with freestanding bath tubs, and an array of modern amenities.

Tim Reynolds, the Principal of Ani Villas commented:

“It’s one of those locations that really makes you wonder whether you’ve seen any place as beautiful. This one’s been a long time in gestation. We spent three years on environmental impact studies alone. But some things are just worth the wait.”

The “it’s all yours” concept allows guests to enjoy an all-inclusive experience where they can enjoy unlimited food, drink, spa treatments, and on-site leisure activities such as cooking classes, personal training sessions, children’s arts and crafts activities, and paddle boarding. Facilities at Ani Villas Dominican Republic include swimming pools with water slides, tennis courts, a fitness centre with floor-to-ceiling windows, and a spa with a range of pampering therapies and luxury treatments. Guests will have private chefs and the service of a personal butler during their stay.

While it has the facilities of a five-star hotel, the intimate resort is only open to one group of families or friends at a time, and it is the perfect place to enjoy a holiday or special occasion. There’s a large open events pavilion which provides a picturesque setting for birthday and anniversary celebrations or weddings.

The resort is also located close to fantastic surfing beaches and a Trent Jones clifftop golf course. The CEO of Ani Villas, Ira Bloom, explained:

“Groups traveling for milestone celebrations, weddings, family reunions and get-togethers, these are the kinds of groups that want a resort-like property all to themselves.”

Each of the villas complements an Ani Art Academy in the local area, which is funded by the Tim Reynolds Foundation. The independent schools offer free drawing and painting programmes to the communities near the resorts. In the Dominican Republic, the Academy has been operating since 2013 in the region near the brand new private resort.
