Westin launches The Westin Jakarta hotel, its first hotel in Jakarta

Westin Hotels & Resorts is set to bring its unique take on wellness holidays to Indonesia with the launch of The Westin Jakarta hotel. The popular hotel brand, which is part of the Starwood Hotels & Resorts Inc. family, is best known for its innovative wellness initiatives, as a result its debut in Indonesia is expected to be a popular choice among holidaymakers. At the time of the announcement, Westin’s Global Brand Leader, Brian Povinelli expressed the firm’s excitement about the latest venture stating:

“We are extremely proud to extend Westin’s global reach into Jakarta. The design, spectacular views, food and beverage offerings and amenities will bring to life the brand’s commitment to guests’ well-being through a local lens”.

Notably, The Westin Jakarta will have the distinction of being the highest hotel in Indonesia. The 272 room hotel will occupy floors 50-69 of Jakarta’s popular Gama Tower. Owed to its prime location, the hotel boasts spectacular views of the city. Despite being at the heart of the city, The Westin Jakarta will serve as the perfect escape for holidaymakers, thanks in large part to the combination of the customer service and the hotel’s stunning yet calming natural organic interior aesthetic designed by world leading design firm Hirsch Bedner Associates.

With no detail left to chance, The Westin Jakarta’s dining experience is as equally impressive as the its interiors. The hotel’s four dining options ensure that there is something for every guest to enjoy, from an all day restaurant with seven live cooking stations serving local and international dishes to a gourmet coffee shop serving nutritious take away treats. However, it is the hotel’s Henshin restaurant that steals the show, located on the top three floors of the hotel, guests can enjoy “Nikkei Cuisine with Japanese-Peruvian Flavors” prepared by specialty chefs.

Of course a wellness inspired hotel would be nothing without a spa and fitness area and The Westin Jakarta does not disappoint in this area either. In addition to access to top of the line fitness equipment, guests will be able to use New Balance shoes and apparel during their stay thanks to the Westin Gear Lending Programme in partnership with New Balance.

The Westin Jakarta is a short 45 minute drive from the International Soekarno-Hatta Airport. Located in the Kuningan central business district, guests will be able to enjoy all that the city has to offer including the nearby shopping malls and Jakarta’s National Monument.
