Eco friendly yet luxurious: The South Beach Hotel is set to launch in April 2015
CEO of the South Beach Consortium, Mr Aloysius Lee announced that The South Beach luxury hotel would open its doors to guests in April 2015. Not only will The South Beach provide holidaymakers with an added accommodation option but also measures have been put in place to ensure that The South Beach is the number one choice for travellers seeking luxurious yet still eco-friendly holidays in Singapore.

Aloysius Lee, CEO of the property development company South Beach Consortium, has been out promoting the upcoming launch of his firm's The South Beach Hotel in Singapore.
During an eight day tour of four of Asia's major cities; Beijing, Japan, Taipei and Hong Kong; Mr Lee announced that The South Beach would open its doors in April 2015.
With all luxury hotels in Singapore enjoying an average occupancy rate of as much as 85 per cent, travellers will undoubtedly be pleased to have an additional accommodation option when booking their holidays.
Once The South Beach opens its doors in April Mr Lee is confident that the luxurious hotel will speak volumes for itself as he stated:
"Take one day to experience The South Beach, and you will see the difference".
The South Beach is ideally located in Singapore's business district with good transportation links and stunning views of Marina Bay and with renowned interior designer Philippe Starck on board, the hotel itself is bound to be equally as captivating as its surroundings.
During his interviews, Mr Lee was also keen to highlight The South Beach hotel's H.I.P. (Highly Individualized People and Places) concept which allows guests to enjoy the feeling of being alone together- a concept which has fuelled the popularity of establishments like Starbucks and even other hotels like the Hudson Hotel in New York. As part of the HIP concept, The South Beach Hotel will feature spacious communal areas.
One of the key selling points for The South Beach, however, is the fact this it is so much more than just another luxury hotel in Singapore with The South Beach aiming to offer its guests eco friendly holidays. Solar panels for electricity and heating, water efficient fittings and fixtures and a rainwater recycling system for the surrounding greenery are just some of the sustainability measures put in place at The South Beach hotel.
During 2015 Singapore celebrates its golden jubilee with 50 years of independence from Malaysia. Since its independence, tourism has played an increasingly important role in the country's economy with 12.6 million visitors in 2013- a significant increase from just 90 000 in 1964.
